    Hi! I'm new too! Welcome!
  2. I agree. When Chris sings this part, I melt. It's so profound. So beautiful. So poetic: "Now here I lie on my own in a separate sky."
  3. I mean, first Jay Z, then Rhianna and now Beyoncé! Like, geez, Chris we get it you're friends w/ Jay Z and Beyoncé! You're "cool"! No need to feature them on Coldplay albums, though.
  4. I think it's a very original song. But other then that I don't like it. It just doesn't sound like Coldplay. It doesn't even sound like them evolving. It just sounds like they are trying to cater to the R&B crowd.
  5. Ok I'm little behind on listening to some of the new Coldplay tracks. Everglow kind of sounds like a combination of Moving to Mars and Atlas. Everglow: not their best song. But major props to Johnny! He literally carried that song. I wouldn't mind hearing it w/ him just playing the guitar!
  6. Prospekts March Poppyfields is some of the most beautiful music they've ever written. And Help is Round the Corner only solidifies my opinion that their early b-sides are just as good, if not better, than most LP songs of any era. Agreed. I even love Postcards From Far Away. I wish they had added lyrics to it....I'm sure it would have been even more beautiful! I also love, love, Crest of Waves! It's a fun song w/o sounding like generic pop music.
  7. I became a fan in 2008 when I heard Fix You playing on tv for a Jane Austen commercial. Here it is:
  8. Really? Swallowed in the Sea is perfection! I cry a little every time I hear it.
  9. Thank you for the welcomes! What kind of craziness did I miss?
  10. Thanks for the replies everyone! It's hard to pick a least favorite but I guess mine would have to be Ghost Stories as I really only like 3 songs on the album: Midnight, Sky Full of Stars & O. The rest is meh...Though the music video for Magic was beautiful I just don't like the song...
  11. Hi! New here! What's with the X&Y dislike I keep seeing on the boards? I don't get it. It's got Fix You, Till Kingdom Come, Swallowed in the Sea, What if and Talk! I admit AROBTTH is my favorite album of theirs but that's because I find it the most interesting. But X&Y is so romantic!
  12. I'm sorry but X&Y also had Swallowed in The Sea. The lyrics and music are absolutely beautiful. It's one of their best songs.
  13. I love this thread! I'm an "Oldplay" fan thru and thru! Nice to see that there are still many who think like I do! I have to ask: does anyone love Prospekts March/Poppyfields and Help is Round the Corner as much as I do?

Hi everyone. I'm "NativeGirl" and I'm from the US. I've been a Coldplay fan since 2008. I've seen them live in concert during the Mylo Xyloto tour. It was one of the best nights of my life! I waved at Chris and he looked me right in the eye and gave a peace sign and my heart melted! My favorite band member is Chris but I also adore Will! My favorite album of theirs is AROBTTH: so many great songs. My favorite music video has to be "Life In Technicolor": it's so fun and original! My favorite song varies, but currently it's "Proof": it's such a beautiful song! I look forward to chatting with you all!
