  1. :-) I used to love Maroon 5 but now not so much.
  2. ^^Relax. It was just an analogy no need to get offended. And the album doesn't sound like pop at all. It sounds more r&b. I can stand pop more than r&b because at least pop songs are catchy. Most of coldplays new album is not catchy.
  3. "Am I part of the cure, or am I feeling drunk and high?" (Ha) "I saw the lights go down at___" (Charlie Brown)
  4. ^I don't hear pop at all. I hear a lot of r&b. I'd rather it be pop music though as I can't stand r&b music. I'm just in shock that this is Coldplay and that they are happy with this album. It's like they forgot about all their loyal fans and are catering to teens and r&b fans!
  5. Let's be honest here, we all love Coldplay. But this isn't their best album. I hate to say it (I love them so much!). They do have a few good songs on the album but it's not anything special. This album is just not them. It's not even them evolving. For the most part it sounds like they threw together some songs they've scrapped from Ghost Stories and MX and put on AHFOD. This album doesn't have much of a theme or soul either. Half of it is just a shrine to the Carter family. And the other half is all about Chris and his love for R&B music. Which makes me think where are the other band mates family and friends on this album? I hate to think of this to be their final album for a while.
  6. Come on.A masterpiece? No offense, but are you serious? This is seriously one of Coldplay's worst songs ever. And they seem so proud of this track to, and I'm like "But why?" It's boring and generic. And say what you like but when I'm listening to a soft rock, rock, alternative band/artist whatever I don't want to listen to r&b, country or pop songs and vice versa.
  7. I like this song... Reminds me of old Coldplay and it's a bit 80's!
  8. NativeGirl replied to Coeurli's topic in Fun
I see a lot of us Oldplayers like Fun. I admit I like it too. One of the few I do like so far. It's got a very romantic Melody and Chris' voice sounds very dreamy!
  9. Haha. I just assumed we all loved Keane! But have a listen to A Silent Film, you all. They're the band I'm always promoting even though I'm not their manager lol
  10. I love this band called A Silent Film. Theyre British and they very much sound like early Coldplay
  11. ^Sweet! I love us Old-players. I like Young the Giant. They sound English.
  12. Very true. But I really love the Life in Technicolor ii vid. It is the fun side of Coldplay but at the same time it's just so English! I love it! I like the Charlie Brown vid too. When they played that song during the MX tour & at the end everyone's lighting wristbands were in the air...it was truly magical.
  13. I know. I mean, these new fans are praising the Adventure music vid as being the greatest CP vid. Really? 4 apes dancing around is CP's greatest vid? Um...have they ever seen Paradise and True Love bc CP has basically done the whole costume/animal thing before. I swear the new fans have no soul. Lol
  14. I think if they focus on playing songs that are heartfelt and inspirational with a good message that speaks about world peace, then no one can fault them.
  15. Okay, keeping w/ Moving to Mars I'll start: "And I heard it on the radio that one day___
  16. Ok guys, I'm bored. So I thought of a game. It's called Re-write the Coldplay lyric. Here's how you play: write any Coldplay lyric to any song but leave one part of the lyric unwritten, then the next person has to re-write/fill in the blank w/ their own words. Here's an example: Song: Moving to Mars Original lyric: "Somewhere up above the stars" Replace the: stars (Then the next person fills in the blank w/ their own lyrics) "Somewhere up above the clouds."
  17. I saw the hate. Ridiculous, we had to endure Missy Elliot trying to be relevant last year yet they complain when an international best selling music group performs?
  18. Oh gosh twitter! I guess I better read what they're saying.
  19. Noooo! I hope not! This should just be about the fans and the band.
  20. Looking forward to it! These "new" Coldplay fans are wearing me out! I swear if the band released a 3 second song they'd rush to buy it and say it's their best song yet! lol haha case in point... But I guess it would depend...maybe Chris singing "I love you"? lol Actually, I'd rush to buy that song too;)
  21. Looking forward to it! These "new" Coldplay fans are wearing me out! I swear if the band released a 3 second song they'd rush to buy it and say it's their best song yet! lol
  22. Looking forward to the album but will buy on iTunes because I prefer to just order the individual tracks...Ive never done this w/ a Coldplay album before and I do love & want to support them but I honestly can't stand Hymn for The Weekend/R&B music.
