This is the new logo for the 2012 Olympics. The "iconic brand" was a year in the making and the designers hope it will go some way to helping bring in the £2bn needed to host the games in London. But the design is likely to spark some public debate. The bold, jagged emblem is based on the date "2012" comes in a series of very bright shades of pink, blue, green and orange in a modern take on the Olympic colours. The word "London" and the Olympic rings are included in the first two digits. "It has a movement to it and it will evolve and change," a London 2012 spokeswoman said. London 2012 organising committee chairman Seb Coe said: "This is the vision at the very heart of our brand. "It will define the venues we build and the Games we hold and act as a reminder of our promise to use the Olympic spirit to inspire everyone and reach out to young people around the world. "It is an invitation to take part and be involved." Dame Kelly Holmes was positive. "I think it was grown on a lot of people," she said. And Olympic Gold medalist Denise Lewis said: "I think it will time for people to grow to love it like we do." For the first time the same logo will be used for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. International Olympic Committee President Jacque Rogge said: "This is a truly innovative brand logo that graphically captures the essence of the London 2012 Olympic Games - namely to inspire young people around the world through sport and the Olympic values." The brand, designed by Wolff Ollins, aims to be a "hardworking" tool that is dynamic, modern and flexible so that it can fit in with new media and technology. It must also catch the attention of young people, according to London 2012. Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell said: "This is an iconic brand . . . that will become familiar, instantly recognisable and associated with our Games in so many ways during the next five years." what do you think? one of the worst logos ever in my opinion.

everybody thought i was strange because i listened to 'their' music. maybe i should have brought them some swiss cd to show them why i dont listen to this kind of music.

i dont mind the language i guess its normal that you listen to music in your first language. at least everyone was suprised that i dont.

ever heard any hungarian music? didnt know most of it until i lived with him. the most annoying thing was that lots of people actually asked him to play his cds because they didnt have a clue what hungarian music sounds like!

i dont know any russian music to be honest i used to live with a guy who listened to hungarian music all day. most of it was quite annoying!

i wasnt saying there arent rich plumbers, i know that you can become rich as a plumber in the uk especially if your self employed. it isnt the same everywhere though, you shouldnt become a plumber if you wanna get rich in switzerland for example. i just sounded to me like you belittled what they are doing. its not like someone's job always tells you how intelligent they are. it depends a lot on your background as well... its a lot easier to get into uni if your family's posh. i'm not saying an intelligent kid from a working class background cant study but its a lot harder if you went to a bad school.
