  1. Oh I hate that!:( hope you feel better soon. What's the weather like down South? It's really hot here.
  2. Our shop? We sold loads. First home game so obviously loads of visitors. It's funny how we mainly make money with foreign fans. Especially Scandinavians are willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money... How are you doing?
  3. I guess it is worth waiting for someone if you truly love them. It sounds like this girl was was willing to sacrifice a lot if she was planning on leaving her country. I do think it depends on where the other person is from though. I guess it would be very difficult if they lived on a different continent and you wouldn't be able to visit them.
  4. Tnspieler1022 Why the hell would you buy a Newcastle shirt just because your bus driver supports them?
  5. I've never done it deliberately. It happened to me a few times that a guy thought I was looking for a sex/ a relationship when I just wanted to be friends with them.
  6. That's a shame. :embarassed: I need to go to bed now, I'm in work tomorrow. Good night!
  7. Visiting your family can be awkward. Especially when you don't like certain family members but you have to pretend you do.:\
  8. I see. I think a guy from my uni's from Luxembourg and he speaks German. (I'm not 100% sure though, it might also be Liechtenstein :embarassed:) Anyway I find it quite difficult to understand his accent.
  9. Shame. I hate that!:( At a friend's house?
  10. How come? New York looks awesome from what i've seen on TV/ in films. One of my friends went there and she absolutely loved it. It must be amazing to go shopping there! It can be really awkward when you realise you're not welcome at someone's house. People can be polite as long as they want, you can usually tell.
  11. Don't they speak German in some parts of the country?
  12. We wanted to go to Paris this summer but it hasn't worked out somehow. I guess we'll go sometime this year though. Can't wait! Maybe you'd better off getting on a domestic flight first. I really wanna go to New York some day but I'd be so scared if was flying there tomorrow. Both really. I think you can usually tell when someone doesn't like you even if they are polite. I guess this work in both ways...
  13. I'd be surprised if he was to be honest but let's wait and see.
  14. Well you can get quite a bet off turbulence during the take off/ landing otherwise it's not too bad. Like you feel less than when you're on a train. It's more a psychological thing really. I can't calm down until the plane has actually landed. :embarassed: I hope so. I think my mum will, not sure about my dad. We're just really different. It's kinda weird because I've met his parents so many times. They're lovely.
  15. Yeah I guess that's the same for everyone. Indeed! My boyfriend doesn't mind flying at all, I think he's more nervous about meeting my parents.
  16. I take those pills I mentioned and I usually buy a book/ a couple of magazines. I still get really nervous though. I find it much easier if I'm with someone. Talking to someone really helps as long as they stay calm.
  17. Yeah loads of times. I've never been on a long-distance flight though.
  18. I'm afraid of flying too but what can you do? If you do go, take pills that make you feel calmer. It really helps.
  19. Switzerland We gotta get a flight obviously. It usually takes like 90 from Liverpool but the last time I flew from Newcastle and it took almost two hours.
  20. That's quite far away. My family lives in a different country. Me and my boyfriend might go there for a couple of days next month if we can get time off work.
  21. I've voted now. :nice: Do they live far away? I haven't seen my relatives in ages.
  22. Round 2 1  2  3  4 :nice: 5 :cheesy: 6 :escaping: 7 :bomb: 8
  23. I'm fine. I was a bit ill last week but I'm feeling much better now. And no, I haven't voted yet. Will do in a minute!
  24. That's sad news indeed.:( I don't know her but I wish her all the best! :)
