  1. With all that discussion about Jonny's guitar, I think I'll leave my two cents here. Coldplay are my religion and I freaking love everything they put out, but I'm bothered by a few things they tend to do. Jordan said Jonny is in the background more in some MOTS songs, but the thing is, I don't want him in the background. I'm not saying I want him to be loud just like on 1.36, Talk, Animals, White Shadows, Amsterdam, Only Superstition... I just want to have the minimal of it. Jonny is just so inventive and creative in the live settings, he creates a whole atmosphere around the song or simply enhances it with his guitar touchs, then why those brilliant ideas aren't on their records? We are always expecting to watch/listen to a live version of their songs because we know there will be Jonny. It seems a little counter intuitive at times; the songs where they need to go harder (i.e. Trouble in Town, All I Can Think About Is You...) they muffle, bury him in the mix and nothing much comes out of it. Now, when the song is intimate, small (i.e. Let Somebody Go, Another's Arms...) there's a nothing or only a little bit of him. His live guitar in the second verse of Higher Power would elevate the song like 80% if only added in the studio version. I really can't understand why he's so underused and how they're always silencing him in the mix. And Chris just loves Jonny guitar play, so yeah... Really confusing.
  2. Okay, I have some things to say. Regarding the Vol. II, I think Coloratura is the key; since Coloratura is a planetary nebula โ€“ which leads to another new planetary systems โ€“ allied to the last piano chords of the song, I think they have a free pass to leave The Spheres and dive in to another set of new planets. It would be amazing indeed โ€“ as someone already pointed out โ€“ if they referenced their old works in the new music such as, the planet and robot from the "Talk" music video, and Silencia from the concept of Mylo Xyloto. The Silencers were already mentioned on the "My Universe" video, and there's more to come from that story, according to Phil, but how cool would it be if we could explore the planet or the system it is part of? Regarding the music, they have SO much potential to be bold and really explore new things, but they probably won't and will play safe again. The problem with MOTS is that is really short, even though it has a 10 minute song on it. You end up in a pole between many super short songs or a single super long song, which leaves a gap of a few standard songs to be heard and makes us either overplay them or simply get bored with them easily after a few spins/streams. I mean, I don't mind about the interludes or short songs, I love them and I think the band are really trying new things with them, but if you're going on that way, at least give us more standard music since the interludes are that short, you know? Vol. II is probably almost done, actually. Victoria Canal was already seen recording with Chris, Jacob Collier and The Love Choir, so I assume she's part of that project. And assuming it is thematically cohesive with Vol. I, I can't see the band going in a different direction, especially when Chris has already stated they will continue working with Max Martin. And, boy, there is soooo many genres that fit the space idea they could explore that they haven't done yet: Neo-psychedelia, post-punk, shoegaze, more and full ambient and space music... We got a taste of prog rock Coldplay, give us more of that... Make it more accessible for general audience that isn't found of long songs, perhaps? I mean, just really try. I don't know how things work on studio for them, but I think they should really listen to Phil more often; he's the only one between them who really knows what die-hard Coldplayers want them to do or explore. But Chris will probably going to address everything to and exclusively to please the masses and not their real fans who are with them from a really long time anyway. Well, that's it. Sorry for the bible, btw.
  3. Wait, are you telling me there is a version of Infinity Sign with no Olรฉ chant? Would you mind send it to me please?
  4. New snippet of "Alien Choir". coldplay_1633199451266662.mp4
  5. I wonder if the people that commented here ten years ago are still around and a fan of the band.
  6. Oh my!! Now I'm digging for a Coldplay solo version of the song!!!
  7. Can you send me Making of Ghost Stories, please?
  8. Thank you so, so much!!
  9. I'm sorry for my ignorance, but what does that would mean?
  10. About the still possible collab with BTS, I've just posted this on the subreddit: I was just discussing on the Coldplay discord with some friends and just came to the best possible conclusion for this whole collab controversy. Coldplay could release "My Universe", or whatever the song might be called in the end, as a solo version and release a remix of the song, now featuring BTS. Lots of artists drop their own version of the song and later release it again featuring a bigger artist on it. The Weekend did that with "Blinding Lights" (remix features Rosalรญa) and "Save Your Tears" (remix features Ariana Grande). They could even release the BTS version as the original one and then include their own solo version as a sort of B-Side or bonus track. In my opinion, that would definitely please both fans from each group and we, Coldplay fans, would always get to listen to their solo version and relies on it, for those who end up disliking the BTS one for whatever reason. Although, knowing our band, that highly unlikely since they've never released a remix of a song featuring another big artist, their remixes are always done with some kind of DJ or sound producer. The only exception to that would be Lost+ with Jay-Z, but it was never titled or labeled as a remix song though. Let me know what you guys think about that. It would definitely manage to appease people who wouldn't want a collab, while satisfying those who'd be excited for it. Maybe this could reach out the boys somehow and they might change their plans? Who knows?
  11. Yeah, it's the same one, I've compared the audio files of both "performances" in a software and is indeed the same version. The only difference between them is that on the BBC gig, We Are King vocals are more highlighted, better mixed and not as "muffled" during the verses and chorus as on the Glastonbury concert.
  12. We've got clowned again https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2021/05/26/fortnite-is-sending-creators-secret-ufo-images-and-dvds-for-season-7/amp/
  13. Well, since people are talking about the lack of Jonny's guitar on the song, I posted this on Reddit and Discord, maybe this will be a nice place to post it as well. "Hey everyone! A couple days I posted the studio version of Higher Power with Jonny's live guitar included on it. But, as that file was named, it was just an initial test, I was looking for some feedbacks and I just spent the last day trying to improve and mix it better, since I found some bits of the test version a little distracting and too over the top. I highed up Jonny way too much lol Anyways, now it's better mixed, equalized, and, hey, we have Jonny now properly on the song!! Again, the guitar parts are included on the verses and the bridge. Hope you enjoy!" https://drive.google.com/file/d/187YXixo_X7Q4O1IjfhEElGFSNtBGf4G2/view?usp=drivesdk
  14. You're probably right about the infinite symbol, is the only one there isn't a planet, so it may be just a sort of a short instrumental or interlude track. I'm also guessing the planet with the moon may represents two songs on the same track. You know, a hidden track just like in Army of One with X Marks the Spot right after.
  15. Max Martin is great, but what a blast would be if Eno, Jon Hopkins, Ken Nelson and Tom Lord-Alge came back again someday.
  16. Actually, it wasn't confirmed the song Chris played in Clubhouse is called Bless yet. That name came from a Facebook post that someone met Chris and he said that song title and that it was expected to be released six months after their meeting.
  17. Yeah, I really hope it's only a song title, not the album's. Music of the Spheres is much more album like.
  18. Yeah, I'm hoping that too. That's what I'm always longing for when expecting a new album release. I mean, the more the better, right? Is always amazing to have another exclusive song among the standard track listing of, for example, 10 songs and going to 11 lol. Everyday Life was "complete" when I could include Flags on it when the album was released worldwide.
  19. As much as I wanted Chris to play a song that didnโ€™t really need the band that much (as I mentioned before in another post, Guns, Old Friends, When I Need a Friend, รˆkรณ...), I really think heโ€™s going to play Everyday Life, but not alone. I believe he will be accompanied by an orchestra band, at least a string session, as it happened in the early promotional concerts of the album.
  20. I still would love him to do Old Friends, When I Need a Friend, รˆkรณ, Guns or even Wonder of the World / Power of the People, although I'm feeling it will be Everyday Life for its message and all. But I don't know, Chris always struggle with it, I really hope his voice is healed and rested enough for it.
  21. That's why I pointed that out first. It would be so much "easier" to promote the new collection with already known and well established hits. Why use a song released 15 years ago, which they don't play anymore, don't like and from an album they also despise? The song's space theme is what really impacted me the most, that's why I found it so intriguing and curious about.
