  1. ahhh noo!! It's making me wait 58 minutes, because I've used up my free account!!!! What kind of sick world are we living in?? Are there any alternatives to rapidshare?
  2. Amen to that! Well said, my friend!
  3. haha, can't please everyone...I'm sure people complained when the Beatles went from Please Please Me and 'Love Me Do' to Revolver and 'Tomorrow Never Knows' (someone else mentioned Bob Dylan's switch to electric too...another great analogy). So far, Coldplay has managed to impress me with both Violet Hill and Viva La Vida (not a big fan of ASARY). I've fallen in love all over again and I can't wait to hear the rest!!!
  4. I just got back from Barnes & Noble and the Waldenbooks bookstore at my mall and neither of them had it :(
  5. My reaction too!! At least they're getting their inspiration from the best ;)
  6. it's going to be so refreshing to see Coldplay getting some GOOD press after so many of these critics have turned their backs on them as a result of X&Y.
  7. I think you're right! This version of Viva la Vida is a single edit...I think the end is intended to go on longer and flow into Violet Hill. After all, Violet Hill has that amazing 30 seconds of ambience before the song actually begins!
  8. haha I completely agree with you! Chris and the gang keep saying, 'You have to listen to it all the way through!!' and I respect that completely. With most bands, I've found that you have to listen to their albums as opposed to just their greatest hits in order to fully appreciate them (for instance, I didn't become a fan of the Beatles until I heard Rubber Soul all the way through....I was in love after that). As much as I'd hate to say it...I hope Viva la Vida is the new single that is being released as opposed to '42' or whatever else people were speculating might be the new release. I don't want to hear most of the album before it has been released as it should be heard!!
  9. Viva la Vida indeed!!!
  10. ahh well done, sir!! I haven't confirmed any of this yet, but it seems to be as close as anyone will get! This is an amazing song.
  11. I am listening to it for a 2nd time through and I'm officially in love. I will go so far as to say it's one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time. Has anyone else had the pleasure of hearing it yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEN5vpW9OLg
  12. ahh! It did work, my friend....I'm really digging this new sound!! The song will definitely grow on me....but I'm already in love!!
  13. oh man!! Thank you guys so much for the mp3...IMEEM...whatever...all of it!! I can't wait to hear the song!!
  14. The album was released in June right? I have a videotape of myself at a friend's house with 'What If' playing in the background. This was in late April or May. The only reason I had access to it was because it had been posted on the website along with the rest of the album. I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that it was out longer than just a week.....in fact...actually...I think I am wrong..... I just remember the wait FEELING like months, haha. I don't recall though. I'll take your word for it.
  15. that sucks....I dunno....it's tempting, but there's just something incredibly satisfying about actually BUYING the album at a store and having it in physical form that buying it on ITunes can never match.

  17. Does anyone remember in 2005 when MTV (or VH1...I can't remember which) released ALL of X&Y online to listen to on their website about a month and a half before it was released? It makes me wonder if something similar will happen with VLVODAAHF...
  18. Yeah, it's definately a different sounding album, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad. You have to let the music sink in. I honestly don't understand how Coldplay fans could just not enjoy this album.
  19. I'm just kidding around...I honestly like Radiohead. I just think this is a funny post, because all the people do now-a-days at the Radiohead boards is bash Coldplay. Maybe they feel threatened? I don't know. I just think this is something that will give them something to complain about......so that's why it's funny :D
  20. oops...posted twice...well then....i know who I'm voting for! Wait, no i don't...it's tough competition
  21. hahaha, I just had an idea of doing something like this
  22. Parachutes: ***** A Rush of Blood to the Head: ***** X&Y: ***** in order of preference, you ask (or even if you didn't)? X&Y A Rush of Blood to the Head Parachutes Of course, depending on what mood I'm in, this list is always changing
  23. Finer words were never spoken. The album is great...those who don't think so need to give it a few more listens. I liked it the first time I heard it online, but every time I listen to it I enjoy it more and more. Songs like X&Y (which for some reason didn't stand out to me on first listen) are quickly becoming my album favorites. so for those of you who don't like it... GIVE IT A CHANCE In my opinion, it is, without a doubt, the finest work Coldplay has produced
  24. meh, people complain too much. The album is great...the best thing to be released since...well...A Rush of Blood to the Head
