  3. Kapone...just want to say your tabs rock...I'd love for you to finish Spies. And there is a minor correction to make on the second verse chord of Spies that you put...i'm sure it was a typo... you put 0 2 0 1 2 0 when it is... 0 2 1 0 2 0 just a minor correction...but awesome tab...and i'd love for you to finish soon! thx in advance!
  4. Hmmm....So many choices...Hard to Pick
  5. Between the first prechorus and the second verse, there is a transition...it goes E7, Esus2/D, E7...That's the transition...it is only for a second though... Esus2/D --0-- --3-- --2-- --2-- --2-- --0--
  6. This is my favorite song off the album, next to Fix You. And I wrote a pretty in depth tab on the instrument forum.
  7. I won't say skip, but I listen to "What If," "Fix You," "Talk," "A Message," "Swallowed in the Sea," "Twisted Logic," and "Till Kingdom Come" more than the other songs on the album. I listen to SOS too, just have heard it way too much.
  8. Here it is in this post...just created a topic for it though... 10. The chords are right in most places, but there are some pulls and hammers in there...plus the top (high pitch) e String is played Open for the whole song.
  11. Do some of you like Metallica, then listen to Josh Groban? lol...I don't, just using it as an example. I'm a huge dashboard confessional fan, but am a huge coldplay fan. What are some weird favorite band combo's you all have?
  12. I'd also like to add that following up one of the best albums of all time, ROBTTH, is no small task. To me, it would be a challenge to even try. But they took the risk, and in my opinion were pretty successful.
  13. Thing is with piano, you can change up chords, using the different octaves. But still play the same chords. It has to do with the sound of it. And really with that, you'll have to listen pretty closely. G | Em | Bm | F | Am..... A | Em....
  14. I'm an American, and I really get what you say. for the past 4 years, I'd heard of Coldplay, considered them a favorite band, but I never really listened to them except their most popular songs...like Yellow, and the Scientist. But then I heard Amsterdam, and I call it to this day, My all time favorite Song. Well, last summer, my brother had the live 2003 CD. He played 'See You Soon', and it really 'sparked' my interest even more. So, I got the Live 2003 CD first, the "A Rush," then "Parachutes." Kinda backwards eh? haha, but I just want to say, Coldplay is now my all-time favorite band...and forever will be. Both albums just helped me figure out what kind of music I like. I love every song on those albums. To me, X&Y doesn't have the same complete feel as the previous 2 albums. BUT, I LOVE IT! Some of the songs haven't comepletely grown on me...but I love the majority of the tracks on there. I'm going to get it tomorrow. I love the stories behind the songs too. That helps me appreciate it even more.
  15. He is a Great Lyricist...and Musician. That's why I listen to Coldplay.
  16. My first guitar was an ol' cheapo i bought off eBay for $40. It was crap...but I learned the basics on it. It wasn't worth 40 in my mind though. I got an Alvarez now...i'd recommend it if you decide to keep playing. You can get a good one for $250. The price is great, it has incredible sound. Don't get Martin's or Gibson's till you've played a while. I love guitars.
  17. on a side note...there is a picture somewhere on the net with Noel Gallagher wearing a "Plagiarizer" T-Shirt. It is funny...when commenting on the allegation of taking Beatles stuff, he said, "at least we steal from the best." lol...so hilarious.
  18. Also, "Lights Will Guide You Home" seems like lyrics from about a hundred different songs...But Chris did it again...he made them his own.
  19. It has a smashing killer end, just like Amsterdam, Politik, and Everything's Not Lost. Just Frickin' Awesome.
  20. I read in the new EZine that it was supposed to be a song that Johnny Cash was supposed to sing with Chris in (it says collaborated)...So It is in Honor of Johnny Cash I guess... Here's the link: http://www.coldplay.com/content/ezine/documents/ezine13.pdf
  21. I googled Black Mountain, and came up with the mountain chain here in NC, and an Austrailian Jazz Band...their old. So I doubt that's it. :P
  22. I haven't heard their newest single, but how could it be better than Everlong, My Hero, Up in Arms, February Stars, See You, Learn to Fly, Next Year, Lonely As You, All My Life, Times Like These, or Have it All? Not saying those are the only good ones...but wow...not liking any Foo Fighters stuff until now should be considered a crime.
  23. was posted under the "watch this" thread....but I'll give you some bling anyway...hee hee.
  24. With No Capo, this is the way I play it (essentially the same above): E -- B -- (F#sus -- F#) -- A play those F#sus and F# Chords in rapid succession...It mimics the movement Chris does on the piano.
  25. Great Find. Thanks indeed. Enjoyed it very much. No one is going to try to fix you...lol
