yeah, it's one of the greatest songs ever written. It really is. I heard it's secretly about Tolkien's realm of fantasy if you know anything about that -- which is awesome to me.

It's growing on me too, very good (sad) but good song. I love Chris's voice so it would be impossible not to love it in some way.

LOL oh yes I have a very deep hate for Barnes and Noble right now. Yeah, I was excited to hear every song. I don't have patience to download the songs either. I was glad to wait and hear everything at once, without having critics change your opinion about something - because they very easily can. How long have you been a fan of them?

it sucks people have to compete like this - it's so immature. Why in God's name would Chris Martin get worse lyricist? Haven't they ever read some of the lyrics by music like...oh I don't know, Britney Spears and those pop icons? It's ridiculous what people come up with. Somehow, I think Chris Martin has some talent in his lyrics... :wink3:

wow you're lucky to have gotten the poster. they weren't doing anything like that (not that I know of) where I live. I got the CD for $18.99 at Barnes and Noble, and when I was there I was going to leave and get it at Target or Wal-mart for about $9 cheaper, but I was too excited. :D

This is my favorite album they've put out, I love every song. It's so fun listening to each song for the first time, all the way out and then replaying it again and again. I bet these songs are amazing live. I'm loving "Square One" and "Fix You" is beautiful and "Speed of Sound"....every single one is cool. I was surprised at the country twang the song "Til Kingdom Come" has and it's great. If I had to grade the CD I would give it an A or a 10.

I don't think Coldplay could have done better than this - I LOVE this CD. I'm not a radio listener at all and I never watch MTV or any music station, so this was my first time hearing anything from X & Y and I have to say this is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. Chris Martin's voice and the music, the lyrics....it's fantastic. A Rush of Blood to the Head and Parachutes were awesome, but this beats them all. I love how every song sounds totally different from the last (if that makes any sense...) and I believe in my heart, this album is going to make them even bigger than they are. :) I highly reccomend to anybody to doesn't own the album yet - DONT buy it at Barnes and Noble, whatever you do. LOL $18.99 when I could have gotten it at Wal-mart for $10.99

Oh I'm crazy about Pink Floyd. I'm not that into "dark side of the moon" except for a handful of songs, like "brain damage" and "eclipse". My all-time favorite is "The Wall".

I'm crazy about Jim Morrison! My mom is a huge fan too. My favorite song would have to be a toss up between "People are Strange" and "Riders on the Storm" - "The Crystal Ship" and "Peace Frog" are awesome too. I have a huge poster of Jim on my mirror, it's similar to the one in your avatar, Manders. How long have you been into them? I always think that's an interesting question because I love talking to people who are just getting into them and it's exciting in a way; I've been listening to them since I was really little, but I didn't actually *LOVE* them until a couple years ago.

I don't think Chris Martin would have come out and said they want to surpass U2's success if they were going to quit anytime soon. But as everyone else said, let's enjoy the album that is out NOW and not worry about next week! :) I have a feeling Coldplay will be around for a long time, even if they do take a lot of time out between albums. What's important is how good of a record they put out.

I have ordered from Amazon a million times and usually it came about 2-3 days after the release of whatever it was I ordered. I wouldn't worry, it probably won't take longer than that!
