So happy to figured this out. Now I can proudly wear that shirt around and if some stranger asked me about the symbols, I have some idea of how to respond to them. ^-^ Seriously though, everyone who chipped in.. great work in solving this. If it be on Reddit or here, the internet thanks you.

So glad they finally released an official lyric video. I was really confused when Higher Power first hit the internet. One snippet in particular.. I could not for the life of me understand, lol.

I agree, I hope to see them continue to make music. My Father is a Baby Boomer who loves The Kinks and that band is still around creating music. Hope when I'm much older Coldplay will continue to be a creative force. It's truly up to the band however that would be wonderful.

Think I can finally settle my thoughts on this song. For me personally it's lacking. My rating is roughly an 7 out of 9. I think think song needed a musical change in the song a kin to what `Jump` did (see below). • I also feel like this song was released pre-maturely, if they had more time refining it I'd probably rate it more favorably. It's hard to explain however when I listen to it now nothing truly stands out to me. I don't want to use the term "Generic" but that's how I feel about the song right now. The ending also left me unsatisfied, I wanted an epic build up of sorts... something more grand to Cap off the song and it just ends on an unsatisfied note for me. Don't want my post to be nothing but criticisms... the pros were that I enjoyed the dance sequence and how addicting some of the lyrics are. A YouTuber by the name of SymbolVision made a video covering what he thought some of the hidden meanings were to the music video of Higher Power and that video did make me happier if Coldplay had some of these ideas in mind. I will watch them play tonight on American Idol just not too overjoyed with this single, I can only hope I will enjoy some of the other songs released in the future.

When the song,'Somewhere Only We Know' was just released by Keane: I thought their sound was really good mix with Coldplay. My wikipedia knowledge is foggy but I recall reading both bands had humble beginnings... some band members knew eachother from college. A song collab now would be a dream come true however if I'm being real with myself it'll probably never occur.

Watched iloveradioCA interview with Chris coving this song and that helped me piece things together. He wants everyone to have less negative thoughts and funny enough.. I did just the opposite yesterday when I let my mind wonder and was absent of critical information. Again thank you Coldplay fan community for your valuable input. Still need more repeat listenings now that I have a new perspective.

Okay now that I've listened to this song at least four times I feel semi confident about how I feel for day 1 of it going public. If you pull the visuals aside from the music-video itself, pull back the visual spectacle... for me this song hits me hard with this bitter taste that I can't help but notice through the song. Before I type too much on my thoughts, I want to share that it's highly critical I know sometime this month or so what the band had in mind when making this song. I need to know what they were thinking about or their experiences because for this song hits different for various people including myself and I want to confirm if we thought alike or if what I thought was off-base to what they wanted the audience to feel etc; Like if I'm alluding to something they weren't even intending folks to think about. With all that out of the way, here it goes. My thoughts: The first few verses scare me to be frank, Chris sings... " Sometimes I just can't take it (x2), and it isn't alright. I'm not going to make it. I think my shoes untied." Much to unpack here. He sets the stage of him being overwhelmed possibly depressed? It just broke my heart when I heard it. The `shoes untied` bit is a little bit of levity here, which is good however I can't help but be moved by the first line of this song and relate to the person - this song's erm... protagonist or main character? "I'm like a broken record (x2), And I'm not playing right. Just go ahead and kill me. Take [I CAN'T UNDERSTAND] ... hold tight" Man. This part really downed me. If the first part gave me slight depression vibes then this verse landed true for me that this song is a happier beat song with much swirling drama of pain somewhere underneath. Unfortunately I can't get Coldplay's official Tweet out of my head here: Higher Power is a song that arrived on a little keyboard and a bathroom sink at the start of 2020 The lyric, "Just go ahead and kill me." mixed with the tweet talking about a bathroom sink gave me the thought of pills or this idea of cutting. Again-- I want to reiterate this is how I'm perceiving the song now... it will change once I know more information just wanting to have a record of sorts of how I'm viewing this song through my lens in life. It also made me think about how rough of a year 2020 was and all the folks suffering etc. It's getting late so I need to wrap up. The last point I'd like to make is, Chris sang towards the end... "I made a love song" Can't re-listen to it right now, don't want to wake my family however it was along those lines. I felt he was expressing to the fans of Coldplay, `I keep pleasing you with all this incredible work, why don't you love me the way you used to?` Least that's how I viewed it. With the song itself, I like the 80s vibes. Didn't grow up in the 80s however I did listen to this 80s radio station in my impressionable youth and enjoyed a good amount of what was released. The message... I'm not sure. Again I need clarity, much clarity and I hope it comes so so fast. Debating about if I should even go into this bit... guess I'll give it a go. I come from a religious background and still practice my faith. This notion of a higher power should (in my opinion) be only reserved for the believer's God or Gods or Goddess, etc you get the picture. Least that's how I've always seen it. So when its applied here that, oh well the audience can have it, they can have that privilege ... just didn't land well with me. I don't want to speak for everyone, if you too are a believer and disagree that's cool. Hope we can still be respectful to one another. Those are some thoughts for now. Wish I had more of a happier post but yeah.. this song gave me some dark things to ponder.

Even though I know English, cannot wait for the official lyrics. Thought this song was very catchy. Unsure how I feel if I can properly rate it right now, need to listen to it more.

Worried I missed the Dell Technologies concert... they don't appear to be promoting it. Least I can watch American Idol on Friday.

Just wanted to chime in. The alien emoji could be because there going to be an UAP (Unidentified Ariel Phenomena) report officially issued by American governmental officials soon. Forget the exact date of its release however plenty of news outlets have the story converge.

That cake sounds amazing! I've been baking a more too, my husband celebrated his birthday recently. He requested that I make homemade applesauce-spiced cupcakes with coconut sugar frosting. The frosting recipe I found called for butter so it has a slight caramel flavor. Been off and on parenting and temporarily being a stay at home Mom. Want to pursue more creative tasks on my off time... sadly I find myself constantly going onto YouTube. Did force myself to wake at 5:30am today and starting painting. Just need to do more of that when I can. Super hyped for Coldplay live performance on May 9th, Mothers Day. Been following this band since 2001 or so at least. Feel they are my extended family kinda. Hope I like 'Higher Power' but over the years I'm come to realize if the song is not for me I'll still be around. I want to see them doing their thing and being talented musicians. It's fun fun to follow their journey and for me to sorta grow up with them too.

Yeah I caved and decide to listen to the 25 second clip. I wanted to wait for the full songs release but my eagerness got the best of me. Like the musical nods to 80s music however I'll have to let the clip rest in my noggin before I can form a strong opinion. It has been great to post in the, rank-the-albums-the-ultimate-ranking-based-on-your-song-scores thread. Shoot, caught the tail end of the show but no Coldplay in sight. Must've missed them. It's getting close to 7pm here however my station says a News program is up next at the 7pm slot. I would've had American Idol in that slot instead. --- Least I can read this blurb about the episode. Hope it'll be on Coldplay's YouTube page soon.
