  1. *buries head in sand* boo.
  2. Mmmmmm. :nice: More like this, please! Sorry, no words. :speechless:
  3. It's especially amusing when you realize that these are the same media sources who were reporting ad nauseum when Gwyneth was spotted crying over one of Coldplay's songs at a concert recently. Funny how they forget about that the moment this crap comes down the pipeline. They have two little kids and a brutal touring schedule. How they work that out is ultimately no one's business but their own and their managers.
  4. :nice: It is too! :stunned: :D Nice find. Oh my word- Now My Feet & Prospekt's March- Now that's the Coldplay I love the most. :nice: :dead:
  5. Oh, she likes him ok. She's said before that Radiohead and Coldplay are her favorite bands. She just likes the idea that her perfect prissy Gwyneth would stay in a loveless marriage for appearances sake even more. :dozey: :snore:
  6. ^ :laugh3: Wrong album, dude. Look at the dates.
  7. Bleh... snowing again today.
  8. That's just Lainey speculating on second-hand gossip she's heard. Don't believe a word of it- it'll do you no good.
  9. I love how no one actually knows where the quotes originally came from or who Chris was talking to at the time. From the NME: "The frontman told the Daily Express that his decision was based on his view that bands should call it a day before they get too old" So I look up the Daily Express article, and what is it?: http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/71693/Martin-The-best-bands-are-on-holiday- Another article based around those two quotes, no source. :dozey: Come on media people, do your research before you reprint crap. :P
  10. As it stands at the moment: Politik The Scientist Clocks Viva la Vida Amsterdam ----------- Lovers in Japan Strawberry Swing In My Place
  11. I'd say something constructive to bump this, but it'll just turn into me whining that Arcade Fire didn't make it, so I'll keep my mouth shut. :sneaky: Ahem. *bump*
  12. Hey look, a thread! *points*---> http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51769 It's just Chris babbling like only Chris can again.
  13. And I say it again: Remember guys, it's about which songs fit on the mixtape best, not what your favorite is! Of course I love wonderwall, but it's such an eye-rolling choice.
  14. The problem with this vote is that there's so many good songs it's too fractured. 79 voters, and high and dry is winning with a mere 13. Which is good because there are lots of songs that could easily catch up. (As long as they're not Creep. Blah.) Remember guys, it's about which song goes with the other songs best, not which is your favorite.
  15. :laugh3: He's like the boy who cried wolf. Except he never cries "wolf" he just give a big, silly, rambling speech about a dog he saw that gets interpreted as wolf. Which turns out to be a poodle.
  16. Or if you want a real copy, you can order the Australian "Talk" single.
  17. ^you can pick all the songs you wouldn't mind having in the mix. The top 5 and one wildcard will be on the mixtape. AND PRETTY PLEASE, VOTE FOR AMSTERDAM PEOPLE!
  18. Hmm... now a two-way tie. Just keep Amsterdam in it please, people. And why does this keep falling off the bottom of the page, anyway?
  19. Do you know how to cut a hole in a sheet of newspaper big enough to walk through?
  20. Yeah, because you know, threads full of groups of fans chanting for it to leak will make them feel so comfortable with the early Japanese release date. Eh, it might be the last new Coldplay we get for a bit. I want to savor it myself.
  21. :bomb: *shakes fist* First snowfall here right now. Has been for the last couple of hours. Make it stop. Please. Just make it stop. At least it's melting when it hits the ground. But that means it's all cold an slushy and not pretty. Bleh. :shifty:
  22. EXACTLY. Oh, it is. Big time. It's happening all over North America. But we aren't labeling them trailer trash or animals and demonizing all children who wear hoodies because of it. They're a combination of kids with harsh lives who need help and love and acceptance if they're ever going to get better or know better, mixed with bubble-wrapped kids who've been squeezed so tight their whole lives they see no other way to get attention than to act out. Fear and labels don't help.
  23. Yeah. Recently downtown, a group of young girls were caught beating an old lady nearly to death with metal table legs in broad daylight, apparently just because they could. That doesn't mean that you suddenly have to be terrified of the all the girls at the mall shopping just because they're kids who are in a group. But that's exactly what it sounds like is happening, with a large dash of pure british classism thrown in for good measure.
  24. That isn't photoshopped. It's from the last time Chris said they would be disappearing for a while, about a year after X&Y came out. The papers misunderstood it, printed that headline, and the guys took that picture to poke fun of the whole thing.
  25. 3-way tie for the 3rd spot! :stunned:
