  1. I disagree. Men think they know their limits. :P Though I will give you this it is harder for a woman to tell what her limit is because the pressure to keep up with the men is there, but our metabolisms work differently and can't process as much.
  2. Happy Birthday!!! :D  :sunny:
  3. Indeed it is- a Mazda MX5 Miata. My dad almost bought one once- I was sooo upset when he changed his mind at the last minute.
  4. Stars - ? (Can't decide which song)
  5. I love the Girl in the Fireplace so much it's the one episode that's been on my mp3 player for a while now. It's basically the reason I can still be excited- that was the second part of Steven Moffats 3 Hugo hat-trick. :nice: Torchwood I have a weird complicated relationship with- it can be amazing sometimes and well pretty... something... others. Very dark and very adult, but always fun when Jack is around. :D I prefer the Sarah Jane Adventures- they're aimed at kids but really well done and lots of fun.
  6. Oh, they're being very, very coy. Trying to make everyone wonder if it's a trick or for real. Especially Morrissey in interviews. He is definitely going to be someone who says he's the Doctor, and it's the perfect opportunity- the doctor meets his past selves all the time, so why not his future self?
  7. So we can stop being off topic: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15098&page=19
  8. I know. :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry: But I have to try or I'll loose what's left of my mind. He wants to get into movies supposedly.... can't blame him for that.
  9. Vote for The Arcade Fire, guys! And Sigur Ros, and the Verve. We're being judged on the way the mix fits together, and since Radiohead, U2, The Beatles, and the Killers look like shoo-ins at this point, a band like Arcade Fire (or Sigur Ros) would balance out the others nicely. (Sorry for talking in this thread, but I think it needs to be said.)
  10. Hey look! David Morrissey! :D [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IVT6LXK1KMA]YouTube - Doctor Who: The Next Doctor TEASER - Children in Need 2008[/ame]
  11. I've been wondering too... don't think I've seen her on facebook either... maybe she hasn't had internet access lately? Especially if she's been travelling.
  12. Dried fish :laugh3: Chris will always be Chris, I guess. Weird and controversial being the reason they make them- the more controversial, the more people talk- and buy.
  13. That's what I was wondering... It's not exactly like it hasn't happened before... :stunned: I said the same thing when Christopher Eccleston left- in fact I didn't watch it for a while- and lived to regret it. So I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic, especially since I adore the new head writer Steven Moffatt. Really hoping for David Morrissey (the guy in the clip) I like him. Sorry guys, waaay off topic :embarassed::laugh3:
  14. Not bad. Far from perfect, but not bad. I've heard Coldplay songs done far worse for sure. I like her voice. :)
  15. ^Thanks :nice: Well, so much for the EMAs this year, though. :laugh3:
  16. Oh my word don't get my started or I might start sobbing. Not really, but it does feel like there's something sharp and heavy in my stomoch every time I think about it. Never been quite so emotionally attached to an actor in my life. Ooh... seen this yet? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IVT6LXK1KMA
  17. Ha. Makes more sense. Yeah, I don't know how to make those n's on this computer. Alas, the next part is too tiny for me to make out all the letters...:inquisitive:
  18. I think they mean google ads.
  19. I'm running it through Google's translation service- not the best but gives the gist. Hopefully a proper translation soon. Wave Award for Best International Group Viva la Vida has sold more than 6 million albums worldwide to date, his new single "Viva la Vida" has become an anthem unprecedented in the career of Coldplay. His concerts in Spain, have been one of the musical events of the year, hanging the poster of tickets sold out within a few days after putting up for sale. Viva la Vida has already surpassed the record of Gold in Spain. Or are they just hopeful thinking? I mean knowing that they're going to be on major best of lists and get Grammy nominations?
  20. :idea2: I know: British style, Japanese reliability. And even old used ones have a good track record. The woman down the street has had hers for nearly 15 years now, and it still looks new.
  21. You know, thinking about this, it's actually a perfect example. There are plenty of separatist Quebecois who would find it offensive to be called Canadian. But they are still Canadian as long as Quebec is part of Canada, and we're going to keep calling them Canadian for the sake of the country. We love them and don't want to leave- they'd take a part of our country's heart and soul with them if they left; they're such an integral part of who we are as a country. If they compete in the Olympics, they've still got a maple leaf on their uniform. Stepping on toes doesn't make the term Canadian any less applicable. And my main point is, to not call someone from say the east coast or the prairies Canadian for fear of upsetting separatists would be just plain madness. It is what we are, and most of us Canucks quite like the term. It's not about race, it's about national pride in all it's fractured, battered, multiethnic glory.
  22. Arcade Fire - Wake Up The Verve - Lucky Man Radiohead - Reckoner Travis - Sing The Beatles - Here Comes the Sun Sigur Ros - Hoppipola
  23. The problem with this debate is that as long as both sides use crap arguments like they did, it's never going to go anywhere.
  24. I do. I also find the vast majority of binge-drinking men offensive, and there's often far more of them and they're generally far more violent on a regular basis. Yet they're not being singled out. Last time I checked, the men and women drank together. I know the UK has a reputation for being a bit more over the top than here, but it can't be that different.
