  1. Beat me to it. But what does that have to do with Chris or Q? Thanks for the scan. :nice: :laugh3:
  2. Lovers. Amsterdam right next to the end gets it all quiet and ready for the big finale, Sun livens things up again, and then Lovers sends it out with a big, happy bang. I'm not so sure about putting Wonderwall right at the start, though. I think it would sit better in the middle. And High and Dry would go quite well at the start. 1) Coldplay - Politik 2) Radiohead - High And Dry 3) Coldplay - Shiver 4) Keane - Somewhere Only We Know 5) Coldplay - The Scientist 6) U2 - With Or Without You 7) Oasis - Wonderwall 8) Coldplay - Viva La Vida 9) The Killers - All These Things That I've Done 10) Coldplay - Amsterdam 11) The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun 12) Coldplay - Lovers In Japan
  3. ^Yeah, snow is always so much easier to appreciate when you don't have 5 more months of it on the way. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/11/22/storm-maritimes.html Wintry storm restricts travel, causes power outages in Maritimes Last Updated: Saturday, November 22, 2008 | 11:19 AM ET CBC News Thousands of Maritimers were without power Saturday morning and many roads and highways were closed after a storm dumped up to 30 centimetres of snow in some areas. A motorist in the Moncton area tries to get back on the road. (CBC) Highway 104 between the New Brunswick border and Truro, N.S., was closed because of blowing snow and slippery conditions. Plows won't be allowed to resume work until visibility improves, officials said. In Prince Edward Island, snow plows west of Summerside were pulled off the roads due to poor weather conditions. The power was out for Islanders in several communities, including Milton, Brackley, Winslow, Poplar Grove, Malpeque, Kensington, Darlington, Newton and Sherwood. The power was also out on Lennox Island, off the northwest shore of P.E.I. Initially, high-sided vehicles such as buses and large trucks were prevented from using the Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and P.E.I., but then the bridge was closed entirely as of about 10 a.m. AT. In New Brunswick, more than 1,000 NB Power customers had no electricity. There were smaller outages in Sackville and Rothesay. In Nova Scotia, a little under 9,000 customers were without power in Hants, Colchester and Cumberland Counties. Nearly all roads in Nova Scotia's Cumberland County were closed. Most flights leaving Stanfield International Airport in Halifax were cancelled Saturday morning. Passengers set to board a flight to Toronto were told their luggage would not be loaded onto the plane because there was no guarantee it would be able to leave. Planes arriving from other cities haven't been able to land. The Moncton airport has also reported flight cancellations and delays.
  4. Thanks. Wish I could take credit for the brilliance of it, (what with 2 of my favorite things colliding and all) but it was snitched from a very nutty geek community a long time ago.
  5. I agree with the guy's main point completely. Coldplay seem to have this phobia that their most interesting stuff isn't Coldplay-ish enough, so they end up leaving it out for later. Chris has said as much about the EP lots of times- that is was "too different" for the album. Which is nonsense.
  6. Yeah, I like that. My biggest worry is that starting it with the AROBTTH opener, an ending with the AROBTTH closer would seem a bit obvious. Angie's is good too, but I'd worry about Amsterdam and the Scientist being next to each other.
  7. Heya. :nice: Lots of work, eh? Know the feeling. Just think, too soon, and it will all be over for forever.
  8. Boo! :( We're supposed to get over a foot of snow tonight. Sounds like a nasty storm. And no one has their snow tires on yet, so there will probably be a lot of accidents. :worried: If you don't hear from me for a long time, the wind, snow, and ice probably knocked the power out.
  9. Man, I've been trying to figure out how to move to England for a while now. This is a good way to keep me out. It's scary. And expensive- how's a homeless person supposed to afford to pay 60 bucks for a useless invasive piece of plastic?
  10. I know. :stunned: I'm quickly realizing why media hack jobs work so well. Come on people, I'm losing my faith in humanity!
  11. Restaurant managers who attract celebrities would never give out personal info about their customers like that without permission. They're probably just trying to swat down this round of rumors before they went too far and became a problem. Which would have been likely considering her relationship with Madonna.
  12. :laugh3: Wasn't that just a week or two after the Gwyneth thing? Or am I getting everything mixed up. I like Ross- I look up old shows of his on youtube when I'm having a bad day and need a laugh. He goes too far sometimes, and makes me cringe a lot of the time, but there aren't any American talk show hosts half as funny as him. Well, except maybe Craig Ferguson is nearly half as funny, but he's not actually American. (And if you think Ross isn't funny at all well, pity us.) It's refreshing to see someone who will get on his guests cases about things rather than kissing their ass.
  13. ^ *points at first page* Though I may move it back a couple of days because of school stuff. So 15th for now, maybe the 17th. Thanks! Added to the first page.
  14. ^Glad to be of help. ;) And to all those threatening violence, what? You're kind of making my point for me. What part of Chris, Miley and a banjo does not speak comedy? That quote had me in stitches- he was being flippant and silly; had nothing to do with her.
  15. Bananaphone! :laugh3:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPn3I491FYI
  16. Sun, sun, sun, here it comes! :sunny: Seriously, I adore Hey Jude, but look at the other songs in the mixtape. Sun fits best.
  17. ^Yeah. :stunned: We ended up getting our first proper snowfall last night. It froze to everything, and now it all looks like some sort of magic fairy land. If it has to be freezing cold and snowy, at least it's beautiful.
  18. :laugh3: Chill, dude. I wrote the first part to make fun of how the tabloids take quotes out of context. Well... and get people's attention.
  19. Quick question, how many of you actually believed a word of that? So why were so many people upset by the sourceless article going around about Coldplay breaking up? I posted this in that retirement thread, but thought it might do some people who would miss it some good to post it here too. Coldplay are not breaking up. The original post: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found the original article. (With a little help from the L.A.Times) CHRIS WAS JOKING, PEOPLE. (Seriously, though. Read it. It's hilarious.) Behold: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20240209,00.html See, now if those stupid tabloids would quote their sources, people would have read this to begin with. The stupid chopped-up out of context article was even in my local paper this morning. :veryangry2:
  20. I'm beginning to wonder if I should make a separate thread for that, just to talk the people who will miss it in here down off the ceiling...
  21. Goodness, if that made your days on the day Prospekt's March was finally heard, you must either hate the EP, or have been ridiculously worried. :p;) You're welcome. :) Just remember- if you read something that upsets you, always check the source. And then check the source's source. If it leads you back to some random tabloid with no source, well, that's how these rumors and lies become legitimized. Modern-day quote laundering. It's like money laundering, but more transparent if you know where to look.
  22. Come on, someone vote for Here Comes the Sun and get it over with. Why that you ask? Because it would fit on the mixtape so well.
