Space Cadet

I've been keeping an eye on how that story has been spreading. Was only in UK papers this morning. It just started hitting some of the big US ones within the last 3 or 4 hours, and it gets more warped every time it's repeated. :( This story is going to be around for a long while to come I fear.

Just heard the interview, so good. :nice: See, when you put the guys at ease they tell you cool things. When you tick them off and twist their words and get really tough with the questions, they get freaked out and forget about even the things they normally talk about. I love how Lammo's such a music geek- even when he tries to ask pointed questions, he'd really rather go off on a tangent about cool random music-y stuff.

*sigh* Ben and Jerry's is almost impossible to find around here. And it's prohibitively expensive when you do. And even then there's only one or two flavors, so I've never had many of the interesting ones. :(

They say the opposite of love is indifference. Oh how I wish that was true... :dozey: Yes, they're overplayed in the extreme because radio stations these days are terrible like that. It's why I don't listen to the radio anymore- so I can enjoy their albums. I go through about 3 or 4 new bands/albums a week. Lots of genres, lots of styles... everything from Wintersleep to Modeselektor to Jenn Grant. Coldplay are still my favorite because they're so beautiful and moving and if you think they're bland then 1.) It's not your style, so don't listen and stop complaining and 2.) You missed something.

Well it's not really that bad. Just uncomfortable. And with that I guess I'd better be off to the stuff I'm supposed to be doing right now...

The radio 4 guy just freaked Chris out to the point that he walked away. :stunned:

Listening again, that would have been hard for anyone to do- every time Chris tried to answer a question and ended up thinking out loud, the guy didn't understand what he was going on about, shut him down rather than bringing him back, wouldn't let him think, and then pounded him with another tough question, always trying to lead him. I can see why he'd get upset or overwhelmed.

I guess that's what you call an epic clash of personalities...

Oh, poor Chris... sounds like all the publicity is starting to get to him. :stunned::( ^yeah, he came back, but was still sort of mubling and uncomfortable, so they cut it off after one more question.

I don't think they were ever on.

^Yay Mimi! :D To North American ears Northern England accents have a way of always sounding like this stereotypical idea of a Scottish accent. It must be because they're both different from an American accent in the same way, is my guess. When you get used to them, the do sound quite different from each other.

Mine must have gone to the low quality stream- there's a bit of a slight echo in a couple of places, So lets say we both sort them out and then at least there's a choice.
