  1. Oh, he has for sure. But it's not often you get to see an artist completely transform their style, and I think he deserves mega kudos for everything this time around. ;)
  2. I'm beginning to think that EMI's anti-leak strategy has backfired on a massive scale. If you stuff all the critics in a theatre to listen once and only once (supposedly with the volume turned up too high) they're going to write a crappy review because they haven't had a chance to dig out a good pair of headphones and let the songs sink in through repeated listens.
  3. 57 pages and one very cool dj... how on earth did I miss this thread up till now?
  4. :laugh3:
  5. Shiver See You Soon God Put a Smile Upon Your Face
  6. Yay! :nice: When's the next update I wonder? That number is from BEFORE the leak. :stunned:
  7. Well I searched to page 7, so I doubt it exists. :)
  8. What the hooey happened to Will? :stunned: His work on the new album is sooo good and so radically different from anything he's done before. It's almost as if he's been replaced by a clone. A clone with mad skills. He's always been the perfect guy for the band, always adding and never taking away imho. But all of a sudden he didn't take it up a level, he took it up about 20 all at once. Cemeteries, Lost, 42, Strawberry Swing, and others all have these incredible rhythms. And even the simple rhythms have little technical pauses and flourishes that were never there before. For me, it's really the defining thing that gives the album it's character. I LOVE it. :D
  9. Good thread. :D Here's a bump. And since I can't find what I want to say, I'm going to completely disregard it and start a new one anyway. :sneaky:
  10. 1. AROBTTH 1.5 Parachutes = VLV 3. X&Y AROBTTH is still my sentimental favorite, and possibly still their best. But Parachutes is too close to be number 2, and VLV seems to be on the same level as both of them. It's much more complex and mature in a good way, but it doesn't have that first album innocence either.
  11. It's certainly the track that's stuck in my head the most. :freak: But I really do love it. Top two or three at the moment for me.
  12. Psychic friends network. Honest.
  13. I adore it. I think it's my favorite on the album, though it's too soon to tell for sure. It sounds like a Loreena McKennit song- modern but old and celtic, with a great rhythm. And I mean that as the highest compliment I know how to give. What the heck has happened to Will? :stunned: He's outdone himself on this album!
  14. clip in multimedia: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46090
  15. Lucky crackpot or prophet? :stunned:
  16. I'd borrow it. Or more likely, because I'm that obsessive about both of them, I would have been saving up for weeks if not months ahead of time.
  17. Both equally.
  18. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: That's such a Chris joke. I can't believe anyone would take him seriously.
  19. Musically it's fantastic. If I didn't speak English, I would say it was among their best songs. Unfortunately, I do speak English. And lie awake at night wondering why, WHY did Chris have to mess up such a great song writing about deodorant. No I don't. But seriously, WHY?
  20. Heehee... Spaced. I love that show. :nice: But no. Space Cadet "n. A person who tends to space out often. He or she does not respond when directly spoken to. The space cadet is not necessarily a person of low intelligence or a heavy drug user, "but rather one who is so easily lost in reverie that he or she loses all awareness of the surrounding physical world."
  21. :shocked2::shocked2::shocked2: No it isn't. I haven't seen that one before. WOW. Thanks. :D Oh, I'm so excited for Friday now.
  22. Who said anything about "ending up"? (besides you :P) I've been a space cadet my whole life. Thus the name.
  23. Doh. Forgot about that.
  24. Oh, I forgot to say, they brought the widescreen hidef cameras to London with them (they didn't the last time they were there).
