I'm all alone
I'm here........ ....but not for long Hello, everyone here.

Radiohead
^ A fun idea, but I have a feeling border security would have issues with it. ;) New York unfortunately is just plain too far and too expensive, I'm afraid.

I hope I can put a big roadtrip together next summer, but as I don't have that sort of money now, and my friends I would go with have little kids and student loans and things now to deal with... Fingers crossed. I just wish it wasn't a 12 hour drive to get to Boston or Montreal. (Providing they even come THAT close)

^ Cool :nice: Did you hear they said they might make it to South America next summer?

Happy Birthday Eglantine!!
Did I ever say happy birthday? I don't think I did. Happy (belated) Birthday! :D (oops)

I still sleep with a teddy bear
Not sure, really. I guess it's just one of those more or less universal childhood things that get embedded in one's psyche over time... My bears and cats and things had their own universe, pretty much, and it probably had a big influence on my writing. *shrug*

Radiohead
^Because if he followed through on his threats to stop touring so he wouldn't have to, there would be hundreds, probably thousands of fans who would start hopping on jets to go see them in the UK, which would have far more of an impact than touring would. There's a difference between being concerned and living carefully, and not living at all.

LEGO
Hm. Hadn't thought of it. I suppose technically, if it's just name brand Lego, or if there is just one type of another kind, the plural would be Lego, but if there were several different types it would be legos- plural of a plural. Heh... were you around long enough to have that class with Mr. Michaels where everyone always got into big argument about the plural of canon (canon or canons)? I think it was Canadian history...

Radiohead
Yeah, but not the one you're thinking of... that's when people pick a song relating to current events of the day.

Radiohead
You should be able to listen to it again on the 6 music site soon. It usually takes an hour or two for the latest show to show up in my experience, at least. Lots of neat stuff... too much to absorb all at once, really... hope they do Glasto. The golden ratio thing was a coincidence, but a massive one, since he thinks it's the thematic centre of the album. I guess I wasn't the only one who really wanted Down is the New Up to be on the album, and now I really REALLY want to hear the finished version, but I agree... it wouldn't fit very well. I'm so glad he mainly asked about the music rather than the download. :nice: And lo and behold, the NME are completly misquoting them already... :dozey: http://www.nme.com/news/radiohead/32617

So will Bush nuke Iran?
^ Don't normally agree with you, but in this case, exactly. Argh... every time any international conflict comes up the first thing certain Americains say is "They should just nuke them and get it over with". Seriously. I know a few people like that. They're really smart people normally, they just get really dumb when it comes to international conflict. And waving your hands around yelling "Pandora's Box! Pandora's Box!" Doesn't work either. I've tried. *sigh* They don't get that if the US uses nukes, every other crackpot in the galaxy will feel justified using them as well. As if one wouldn't be bad enough. No. :P Not at all.

Radiohead
:( Yeah... I hope it's still available after Christmas. Or at least that the regular vinyl release is easy to get ahold of...

What are you thinking right now?
Why am I always suddenly chatty or creative when I'm supposed to be going to sleep?

So will Bush nuke Iran?
Sorry, what? Do you mean the fictional paper in the story? Because I never watched enough of the movie to know. Or do you mean the newspaper place they shot the movie in? Because that was the Chronicle Herald's building, and it's the local paper here in Halifax. Yes, I do quite like that one if only because of familiarity; I read it every day.

LEGO
Just realised that my legos are actually those oversized duplo blocks. I still just think of them as legos, though. It really hurts when you step on the little legos... I wonder... do people have a favorite brand? Or is it just generally lego? Legos are bad to have around when you're supposed to be babysitting... the kid gets bored after a few minutes, just when you're really getting into some project. At least that's how it is for me... Random lego thoughts for the night...

Awards and Achievements
It depends on how much the subject or competition means to me and how hard I worked to get there I guess. There have been some that I don't even remember that I got they mean so little to me, but on the other hand winning some awards for my artwork in highschool gave me the courage to study art for a bit. But on the third hand, (now there's a funny creature for you) being shortlisted for a major writing award in college psyched me out so much that I got the worst case of writers block I've ever had afterwards.

I still sleep with a teddy bear
 And you felt the sudden need to share this why? Ah, who am I kidding... this is the point where (metaphorically) everyone who knows me is pointing and laughing. I'm 25 and I still sleep with my stuffed rabbit. But after this long what am I supposed to tell him? I'm sorry, I'm too old for you to be real anymore? Because after all these years he's my very own velveteen rabbit. He'll go into hiding if he needs to, but I'd miss him too much if he was gone for no reason.
