  1. I wouldn't say he's too cocky... the opposite actually. I think he's too insecure, and so he says silly things to try to motivate himself, forgetting how dumb they sound. And then I cringe. But based on personal experience, he's one of the nicest people I ever met, and I really think the media (and cranky fans) like to distort him a bit.
  2. Well, it's just in the UK/rest of the world store... Which means you can order it from Europe, Asia, Africa... It's only North America and Australia who have effectivly been banned from ordering. :veryangry2:
  3. I like it, it's beautiful. :nice: Especially that little burst of sound right at the end- I always forget it's still playing and end up really surprised.
  4. UK store only :disappointed: I hope that doesn't mean it's only available in the UK period, but I'm thinking it does. ... ... :bigcry:
  5. Heh... I wish I could play well enough to be in a band... and I wish I lived in Liverpool. But I don't. I still like to keep track of musician wanted adds... they're almost always for Nickleback wannabes... :laugh3:
  6. I don't know if it still gets used in Britain, but it still gets used over here in the broad sense for British music in general.
  7. Space Cadet replied to Hicksy's topic in The World Of Music
    :laugh3: Nice job, Mr. Mod
  8. Hi Eric. *waves*
  9. My thoughts exactly. :disappointed: They came to Halifax once when no one knew who they were and they don't seem to have any plans of ever coming back. Guess they're too big for us now.
  10. The radio being what it is, (:bomb:) when I really need to listen to something radio-ish I like BBC's 6 Music... I really like the mix of stuff they play, and it's a great way to keep up with all the really interesting British bands out there right now. I've found alot of music that I like that way.
  11. :laugh3: I'm less mature now than I was when I was in my teens... ...I was one of those freaky kids who were way too old for their age... until I turned 21 and started acting like a teenager all of a sudden.
  12. YES. Yes I am. I was going to do it all rainbowish too, but I couldn't get the colours to look quite right.
  13. If you go to class tomorrow or bed soon?
  14. Wow... it's 1:30am-ish :stunned: later than I thought And with that I'm off... heh I am going to be so dead in class tomorrow...
  15. Strombo.... Strom.... Stroumboulopoulos :P Yeah, I had to look it up. Cool guy, though. Really really really likes music.
  16. ^^I know that feeling. It would probably be better to get some sleep though... will help you feel better in the morning. Don't let crazy night owls like me set a bad example...
  17. I say it both ways... depends on when and where I'm using it in a sentence.
  18. Were your friends hired last year too? Maybe they were trying to let more new people get a chance... I've heard that as far as jobs go, that camp can be pretty competitive. Sorry to hear that anyway... as far as places go I'd rather be there than somewhere else too.
  19. ^ oh. sorry. I just mean that people are at their most interesting in their mid thirties... and can be very childish before that... Oh well, at least being out of highschool means the end of all the teenage angst crap...
  20. Has that much music concert ever made it into multimedia? I'd love to see it too. I kind of like the earring but I'm not sure...I just think it's funny how much that outfit makes him look like Sam Roberts... who tends to wear exactly the same sort of thing... black leather jacket, white v-neck tshirt, jeans... he just needs to grow his hair out again :laugh3:
  21. Heh... David Foster was just on a tv show called the hour... (look him up if you don't know who he is... you'd be surprised) As a random fact, they mentioned he was a big fan of Muse. Cool if you know his reputation, really, really random if you know the sort of music he writes. :stunned:
  22. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo00000000 *whimper* No more clubs, please.
  23. Wow... I feel old now.... as if being a 24 year old undergraduate wasn't bad enough. *coughs* Meh. I still say childhood ends at 35. :smug:
  24. The most amusing/sad rumor (and I stress rumor) that I've heard has to be that a certain dumb blond coke-snorting heiress told her that crystal meth was a good way to lose baby weight. Something tells me the rumor is just wishful thinking on the part of those who hate both of them, but who knows... Whatever the reasons, I think this shows very clearly how nasty drug addiction can be... whatever her reasons for starting, they have taken over her life and driven her psychotic, and she is going to need alot of help if she is going to do anything about it, because she isn't in control at all anymore.
  25. Interesting and thought-provoking, yes. But a little uncomfortable at times too... I just haven't made up my mind yet, I guess.
