Space Cadet

Heh... I really don't know why I'm admitting this but... I had a huge crush on Jenson way back during his first year at F1. He was good looking and he was the first driver to reach F1 who was about my age. It didn't last very long though- there's something about him that kind of annoys me, although I'm not sure what. I've traditionally always rooted for the main British driver, but I'm more of a Coulthard fan.

Me, musically Neon Bible blows my mind. I love it. I wasn't sure they could pull it off, and they did. And Win's voice is way stronger this time. Lyrically, I really don't know what to make of it... it has that quality that I loved in Funeral where you have to sort of untangle what the songs are about... I'm just not so sure I like what I find when I've gotten some of them untangled this time. :\ hmm.

Lilly Allen opening for Muse? Seriously? Weird. I don't mind her... I even like her occasionally, but she's totally wrong for an opening act. Wrong mood.

So by the time I figured out how to program my silly camera that doesn't even have a manual focus and is therefore useless at night, the eclipse was almost finished. Still got a couple of half-decent shots, but nothing as interesting as the earlier ones that didn't turn out. That's from when it was fully eclipsed and that's from when it was almost done. And there you have it. A year of studying photograpy nullified by a single "photography for dummies" digital camera. :laugh3: Yeah, I figured... that's just what happens when I'm distracted- things don't come out quite right. *sigh* I'm bad at this game in real life too. Funny that people think I took them seriously online as well... hmm... :lol:

Grrr... I'm trying to take a picture while it's still low enough to get one with it between the tree branches, but I learned how to take night shots on a professional film camera, I don't have any film, and my dinky little digital one isn't cooperating. Any suggestions? *runs off to reread users manual* Sorry... didn't think to look in the news section... wasn't sure if it was local or not either... guess I should have known it isn't... I'm supposed to be good at this science stuff. :confused: Besides... it seems more like a lounge-y sort of subject anyway.

Never ever give into hype- you'll only be dissapointed, because imagination is always bigger than reality. And it's getting the hype halfway through the season, not at the beggining. That said, (dare I admit this as a crazy obsessive Lost fan?) it's my favorite show on tv right now. It is really well done.

Though getting to Cydonia could be a bit tricky. :laugh3: As for the poem, yeah it's quite a random place to mention it... but I'm easily distracted. One of the saddest things Tolkien ever wrote, I think. If Frodo was having dreams like that just before he left for the Grey Havens, I can understand why he had to go.

Oh man, I had a cousin from the States visit recently. Now he sounded the same as anyone else to me, but afterwards he wrote in his blog "and they all had wicked strong Canadian accents!" What accent? Weird.
