Crimes Against Music
^^There are people around here who like a huge range of great music. It's what keeps many of us coming long after we've gotten bored of talking about Chris' haircut. Exploring music is a much more productive hobby than whining about all the music you hate, isn't it? (Which seems to be most music from how much you've actively liked around here so far) Yes? No? Think I'm a moron? Go for it. *goes to listen to some Burial and forget the whole thing*

Radiohead
...wish I had time to watch whole concerts... :disappointed:

March Madness
Get a grip, dude. :inquisitive: And Villeneuve may have been a bit crazy, and may have stuck with the wrong team too long, but at least he didn't go intentionally throwing his car into the wall to block his rival's qualifying lap... or ramming his car into his rival in a desperate bid for a championchip.... :shy:

Article on Joanna Berryman and her Hampstead home
I remember that article- it was about their old house a while ago... not sure why it has the new date stamp...

I love the way she uses colour there. :nice: Still kind of odd to see someone talking to the press like that though...

The OFFICIAL *NEIL GAIMAN ROCKS* Thread
I loved the movie. I just finished reading the graphic novel (it came before the book) and even with pictures it was very difficult to get the movie out of my head which was distracting. But I loved it too. They really are so different... it's like the movie is trying to be another Princess Bride, and the book is trying to be an old fashioned fairy story. (I say fairy story, because he's clearly read Tolkien's "On Fairy Stories"...)

The Mixtape Exchange, Round 3: Swaps complete, please post your reviews
*looks back* Indeed it is. Looks like it never got crossed off the list and so was sent out again.:embarassed::lol: Whoops. Still a joy to listen to, though.

Radiohead
I can't stand Creep as a general rule. I still think it would be a blast as a giant live singalong. And I would probably sing along at that point too.

The Mixtape Exchange, Round 3: Swaps complete, please post your reviews
Urgh... I signed up for one of the spare tapes and then haven't had a chance to write about it. It's a great mix, anyway. I love it. Review coming soon. (It's the one that starts with a Killers song and then a Franz song...)

Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
Hey look another troll! *pokes troll with stick* "I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing Roman cavalry choirs are singing Be my mirror my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason I can’t explain I know Saint Peter won't call my name Never an honest word But that was when I ruled the world" (May the prosecution note that the portion of the song being quoted is not part of the portion involving the allegations of plagiarism. :smart: ) Yes, it's so obvious. This must be completely manufactured. Mentioning Jerusalem and the prospect of eternal hellfire will strike such a wonderful chord with the masses and their endless partying that the EMI overlords insisted on it. Mirrors and swords and shields sit so well next to lyrics about "lollipops" and dancing. Can't you just hear that church bell blending in perfectly with the latest Lady GaGa song on the radio? I mean it's so obvious there must have been a suit in the studio that day yelling "more church bell!" I'm curious, though. Are you one of Briggin's friends who came on here to pester him, are you going on about the Halifax scene because you heard it all on the internet, or were you actually here at one point in time or another? Because frankly the main impression I'm getting is one of those really annoying Kings kids who parachute in here from Ontario, have their apple laptops with them everywhere at all times, and like to go on about how elite their musical (and literary) tastes are. (No, I don't want another lecture about Gilgamesh ) Because seriously, no one writes it HFX that I know of... except in texts, maybe.

Radiohead
He looks so tiny next to security...

Radiohead Are Poor
^^ Old, but still hilarious. :freak: :laugh3: Briggins, man, when that guy wants to insult he really goes at it. Wow. (Not that you didn't have it coming from the looks of things... :inquisitive:)
-
Radiohead
I love that part, actually. It's like two different songs. I guess the trick is to not get too attached to anything about the live versions, so that you can handle all the ways that the studio versions change. Otherwise you end up like Briggins there.
-
Radiohead
In the long run, I'm glad I listened to the live In Rainbows songs. I got to hear songs develop, the album versions still sounded brand new when I first listened, and the album has with time become completely separate from the live versions. I really enjoyed getting that funny sort of peek into the process.

Her red string is showing. :stunned:

Jaoquin Phoenix Fight (enhanced) at Fontainebleau night club in Miami
No, he's clearly trying to pull a Borat... you can see it in his face when he tries to not crack up now and then- it's an act.

Jaoquin Phoenix Fight (enhanced) at Fontainebleau night club in Miami
I'd heard the guy was a method actor, but this is beginning to get a wee bit ridiculous...

When you fall over in public
I usually end up having a gigglefit at myself even if it hurt because it looks so silly in my mind's eye. Why isn't laughing an option? And.... you're posting again...

Call me when they graduate...I'z outta here! (For now...wow, so literal!)
Good grief I haven't even had a proper chance to say hello and you're gallivanting off again Tracie. It's no fair! The trolls really must all be all a matter of perspective, I've noticed that they've been around yes, but barely. But then I don't have time to hang around for hours and chat about nothing anymore either. The ignore will take care of a certain one that won't go away, boredom should take care of the others eventually. But honestly I think we've just needed a bit more of your levelheaded influence around here. :smart: eta: on second glance, who started an alias day and didn't tell me? *backs away slowly*

Radiohead Are Poor
Wow... he's still at it. :stunned: Gotta admire the guy's persistence, even if he is tilting at windmills in a silly hat. :p
