Favorite parts of each VLV song
Life In Techincolor When the drums and snare come in around the end of the song. Cemeteries Of London This is one of my favorites, so there's several. (1) The la, la, la's (2) the guitar solo (3) The part before number 4 (4) "God is in the garden / And God is in my head" (5) The piano at the end. Lost! Jonny's solo and the end with the echo-y vocals and Chris's background vocals. Beautiful. The organ at the end where I can hear the keys. 42 The beginning. The vocals right before the bridge. Chris' little 'ah' before Jonny comes in. The entire guitar-drum sequence. Brilliant. And 'You thought you might be a ghost but you oho, oho!". Also the very end with the piano. Awesome song. Lovers In Japan The beginning with the harpsichord. The chorus. The "oooooho"s. The bridge/ending. Reign Of Love The very beginning with the counting. The entire song is beautiful, but I especially love the ending with the piano and bass. Yes The strings are pretty awesome, but I'm not too terribly found on this song. I do like when Chris breaks his lower register and his 'hey'. Chinese Sleep Chant Jonny's guitar solo is like... the shit. The drums right after are pretty cool too, when they're all boomy. Viva La Vida The timpani when the chorus comes in. The "oooohooo"s. I love how it fades strait into Violet Hill too. Everything about this song pretty much rocks. Violet Hill The synth at the beginning. When the guitar first comes in. The chorus. "Bury me in armor / When I'm dead and hit the ground". Jonny's solo. The ending is beautiful. Strawberry Swing The beginning with the studio noise. The hand claps and the drums. The key change. The ending with "The sky could be blue..." Death And All His Friends The... whole song? Just fucking brilliant. Probably when the piano picks up and the guitar comes in with the harmonized vocals. God I hope they close out their shows with this. The Escapist The vocals and the end with the strange string instrument. So beautiful.

Kooks cover Coldplay on Radio 1
Really love the instrumental arrangement. His voice is kind of... I dunno. There's something I'm not crazy about, but definitely the best Coldplay cover I've heard yet.

COLDPLAY HEADPHONES! HELP
^Sennheisers are pretty much the best money can buy in both sound and design.

COLDPLAY HEADPHONES! HELP
I agree that it looks like Sennheisers. They're amazingp in both sound and value. Makes sense that they would use those.

Coldplay crash the crowd at Madison Square Garden
Yeah, these are just buzz gigs... warm up shows. The tour shows will be longer and of course have encores.

Why does God continue to allow Coldplay (or Rolling Stone) to exist?
Fucking Dejan.

Chris Martin is a Zoo Keeper
Could we not post pap pictures? It makes me depressed. Apple is beautiful regardless though. :)

I don't want to hear Fix You, Yellow, Trouble in concert anymore
I don't really want to hear Fix You, but I'm always up for Trouble. And I love what they've done with Yellow. Seriously, it makes me want to hear it in concert. That's what I like about Coldplay in concert is that they find new ways of playing songs that have been played and played and played so that it's fresh. Plus, there's a lot of people who aren't a big of fan as you or me who are seeing the band for the first time. I'd be pretty pissed if they didn't play Yellow or Trouble. One that I am sick of is In My Place. UHG.

Similar Cover and title..coincidence ?
As cool as their cover is, it's not exactly original.

COLDPLAY IS BULLSHIT...
WTF? When should you have to wait to see them for God's sake? Are you supposed to get to see them next month and everyone else can fuck off and see them in six? There's a thing called too many places, not enough time. Get over it.

I can't take it anymore...
I... don't really give a shit either way. If that's what they want to wear that's their own damn business. If The Beatles want to wear burkas or suits on stage or if Radiohead want to use insanely expensive tubes of LED lights at their shows to up the price of their tickets, I really, truly could not careless. As long as the music is good. And this album is good. If they had to dress like hipster French revolutionaries to get that way, so be it. Many bands shirk the fashion that often follows with music and they think that it gives them some sort of bullshit 'edge' over other bands. It's just another form of pretension. But Coldplay are sure as hell not being fashionable. They don't give a shit. And, fyi, the confetti was a part of the award show 'bigness'. Besides, how is it any different from their yellow balloons or The Flaming Lips having people dressed as aliens and shooting confetti and balloons into the audience? Makes for a great show. All I can say is, is that if I'm going to be paying 60+ dollars for a concert, I better damn well be seeing some massive lights and coming home with a handful of rubber from a busted balloon. Colorful jackets don't really faze me. ...</rant>

[Article] Make or break for Coldplay
FYI: There basically isn't a band that isn't influenced by Radiohead?
-
Who is the star of the album?
Well, think about it. 'Spies', 'Sparks', 'Shiver', and 'Everything's Not Lost' have some of his best bass lines. However, you also have to give it up to Guy since he's the utility man. He does more than just bass. I voted for Will though. Jonny certainly shines, but you can still tell it's Jonny (Although there's nothing wrong with that. Despite many people downplaying his talent, he does have a distinctive style, that's for certain), but Will's contributions are virtually unrecognizable.

Studio Noises
I know, I love it. It's so great. I was listening to "42" for the bazillionth time and I heard Chris make some sort of noise that was definitely him yelping at Jonny or Will or someone. It made me smile a little too much. It just reminded me of "We Never Change" where someone says 'Yeah'. And the pedal shiftings in "Violet Hill" add so much to the beauty of that ending. Just like they do in "Politik".

Studio Noises
HAHAHA. Whoops!

Studio Noises
This may seem insignificant to some, but I need to know if there are other people out there who are as excited as I am at hearing studio noises in this album. The pedal changes in "Violet Hill" and the little yelps from Chris in "42" and the shifting in "Strawberry Swing". It adds so much for something that many people don't even acknowledge. Perhaps is the fact that X&Y had none and that's why I'm so stupidly giddy at finding them in this album. Anyone else feel the same?

OF THE COMBINED TRACKS
Death And All His Friends / The Escapist. Great close to the album and both beautiful songs.

THE TIMES (UK) Viva La Vida Review (+ unseen picture)
Reviews suck. Even good ones. The only one that actually makes sense and doesn't just summarize the album while simultaneously comparing it to every big name-drop-worthy band they can think of is the one MTV did. MTV, media world. You should be ashamed.

What Happened to Will?
Dude. Will has always been and will always be the man. He's a beast. He was totally the center of the show on the MTV Movie Awards for me.
-
The VLVODAAHF / AROBTTH Army.
Parachutes is flawless. Don't forget that.

IT'S LEAKED!!! (NO LINKS)
I have the album pre-ordered from Amazon and iTunes with every intention to get it on vinyl as well. I think I deserve a sneak peak.
