  1. Dude. Coldplay... are... ALIVE? AHHH. When is T in the Park? I'm thinking that if it's next summer, that the album will have already been released (At least, that what I'm hypothesizing based on the studio posts on the website).

The length of the album doesn't matter. Did you ever stop to think that Parachutes is fourty one minuets long and it took almost as long to record? And what is their best album? Parachutes. I agree that X&Y was a bad album. It paled horribly in comparison with their first two, but you have to look at the circumstances surrounding the recording of that album: the fact that they were sick of each other after their first major world tour together, that they didn't really know or expect all the critical acclaim and the fame, Phil Harvey was no longer with them, they changed producers, and they let the record exces in on the recording process when in the past they never let anyone in on their recordings. Not to mention that most of the songs were recorded in pieces and in several different studios. It was rushed and they were obviously grasping for straws. Just stop and consider the changes they've made now: Brian Eno, Phil being back, their own recording space, their isolation in recording, the fact that they've done away with the boy-band all black uniform, (And despite the fact that you seem to believe that Coldplay made a fucking ridiculous video in order to embarass their own fans instead of giving a stubtel finger to EMI, that is still a big factor that leads me to believe that Coldplay tried the big band mold for awhile and decided against it with the unusual decision to release the worst song on the album [Chris even confessed this], not have a hard-copy release, and make a horrible video without any record label reps on the set) etc... Have some faith people. Every band comes out with a shit record. If this next album is bad, then yes... it's probably time to lose faith, but goddamn, stop whining. The time it takes to record an album and how long it is does not determine if it'll be shit or not. People also seem to forget that it took Radiohead almost four years to record an album that was only... guess what? FOURTY TWO MINUETS LONG. Stop bitching people. Don't pass judgment until you hear this album. Then you can bitch (Or eat your words) all you want.
  4. Dude... Where the fuck is that picture from? It's awesome.
  5. Is he wearing jeans? Or track pants? I've never seen Chris wear jeans. It really does look like an '02/'03 picture! Crazy! I hope he keep the look for the tour. Hopefully this new album will be omgamazing and it'll be like the Rush of Blood glory days again. :)
  6. Dude! HE NEEDS TO KEEP HIS HEAD SHAVED.
  7. New songs! Famous Old Painters Glass of Water Yay. I love the Prospeckt posts. Look like they're trying to wrap up pretty soon.
  8. OMG! It's 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' hair! I love it!
  9. I'm totally guitar ignorant and this might be totally useless, but I know that an E-Bow is good for sustaining guitar. I might be telling you something you already know, just thought I'd throw it out there.
  10. ^ That's an old one isn't it? I would swear on everything that I've seen it before.
  11. What... the fuck? Was this guy really bored one day?
  12. What's funny is that their songs only appear on the actual CD release of the soundtrack if Zach Braff directed it. In all the other movies where their stuff has been used, they haven't appeared at all, or there's a (bad) cover in its place.
  13. ...Are you fucking kidding me?
  14. D'awww. They're so little!
  15. That's how Sigur Rós arranges their stage. I quite like it. It makes everyone pretty much equally visible, especially the drummer, who's usually shoved in the back. :)
  16. I think Parachutes is better as well. A Rush of Blood is fantastic though.
  17. The mixing of all their albums took awhile.
  18. ^ Irrelevant?
  19. That's what I'm thinking too. What a bastard.
  20. He has a habit of sleeping in weird places. Isn't there a picture of him asleep on the floor of an airport? Poor guy.
  21. Aww... Chris! :( I hope he's better now. I'm thinking the bit with 'Fix You' is bullshit though. They threw that in there for publicity. I don't think a Coldplay song would be played at his uncle's funeral. I don't know... maybe I'm cenile.
  22. I know exactly which one you mean and I thought I had it, but it seems that I do not. I think you may have better luck posting for the entire Manchester show in the Multimedia section. I know someone's uploaded it before. :)
