I'm having trouble removing the artwork that WMP automatically adds for each song.. Anyone know how to get rid of that?

World Cup 2018 and 2022
Australia would've been a bad choice. USA had it recently so I don't see why they should host it again, especially as they're not huge lovers of the game. Korea and Japan had it recently so they're out. Qatar will surprise people. Russia is a big ass country that deserves to host it. I personally wanted Spain/Portugal, but its all good.

DEXTER
Really? I thought it was a great episode, the season's coming along well me thinks. Some supreme moments of dark comedy too.
-
DEXTER
The show is essentially a serial killer's views on life. So it's a little ironic in that sense. It's great fun if you watch it without taking it too seriously. Getting attached to a serial killer is a little weird, though haha

Tonight was brilliant. Only 3 episodes left :o

The National
I don't think anyone comes close to these guys right now. Probably the best band of the last decade in my opinion. Absolutely fantastic.

There is considerable evidence the points to him being innocent all along. Not that it matters anymore, he's going to die in a few months time.

The 4th Mixtape Exchange
Hello, I hope you liked the mixtape. Here's what you listened to :) Band Name- Song (Album, Year) 1) Shearwater- On the Death of the Waters (Rook, 2008). This was an excellent album from a rather underrated band. You shoud check it out, one of the best of 2008. 2) The Black Keys- 10 A.M Automatic (Rubber Factory, 2004) I think Blues/Garage is a genre that divides people. I thought this was a good way to get into the mix after the relatively slow tempo of the last track. 3) Sun Kil Moon- Carry Me, Ohio (Ghosts of the Great Highway, 2003) You're right about this being repetitive, and yep as with Mark Kozelek's work, its all about the lyrics. I find it very beautiful. 4) Destroyer- Foam Hands (Trouble in Dreams, 2008) I've only recently started to listen to this guy. He reminds me a lot of David Bowie vocally. With each album he adds and adapts to what is already a pretty unique sound. Highly recommended. 5) White Rabbits- While We Go Dancing (Fort Nightly, 2007) A six-piece band with two drummers who make pretty upbeat, dancy rock music. This is from their very solid debut album. 6) Deerhunter- Never Stops (Microcastle, 2008) I'm sorry you didn't like this as I love it. A really great album from a very prolific group of musicians. 7) Feist- One Evening (Let It Die, 2004) Isn't this great? I love its chilled, laid back feel. 8) Talking Heads- Once in the Lifetime (Remain in Light, 1980) Iconic song from one of the most influential bands ever! (not that I'm opinionated at all). They make you want to dance and be happy in general. Genius. 9) British Sea Power- Oh Larsen B (Open Season, 2006) I think you either love this band or you can't see what the fuss is about. They tend to juxtapose rather serious lyrics alongside upbeat rock music. Well worth a listen. 10) Elliott Smith- Cupid's Trick (Either/Or, 1997) I wanted to slow things down a bit with this one. The late, great Mr.Smith had rather spider-web thin vocals which is maybe is why you thought it was a demo. 11) Frightened Rabbit- Head Rolls Off (The Midnight Organ Fight, 2008) I find this to be very uplifting as you may have noticed from the lyrics. It has a very simple structure and it works perfectly with the vocals. 12) My Morning Jacket- Lay Low (Z, 2005) Ah, it's a real shame you didn't like this. I thought the rather excellent outro jam was a great way to end a mixtape. I hope you liked it overall. It was a pleasure putting it together :) Here's the link: http://rapidshare.com/files/26955195...xtape.rar.html

The 4th Mixtape Exchange
Track 1: Some guitar strumming with a male voice over the top. Drums then kick in. Pretty catchy, straight-forward rock tune. Not bad at all. Track 2: I like this. Poppy and chilled. Nice guitar work. Track 3: Is that Portuguese? This is really cool, again rather chilled. I like the drumming. Very different feel to the first two songs. Best track so far. Track 4: This starts off with some strings then moves into a guitar, followed by a male voice. His voice sounds familiar..Can't quite place it, though. Its quite nice, don't think its my cup of tea, though. Track 5: Post-Punky guitar kicks this off. Voice sort of reminds me of the guy from Placebo. Is it Placebo? Track 6: This I like. Nice combo of loud and the quieter parts. Quite a catchy chorus too. I like the effects on the guitar too. Track 7: Another Electronica track with what sounds like electronic whistling in the back. I'm quite enjoying this. Very laid back vocals and feel to it the whole song. Track 8: This begins with a guitar and hushed female vocals. Then drums kick in. Quite a poppy/ rock tune. Bit too straightforward for my taste, I'm afraid, but not a bad song by any means. Track 9: This track starts with fast guitar strumming and drumming. Then slows down as the vocals begin. Pretty nice and gentle. Track 10: Nice piano intro and vocals. I quite like this. Nice guitar work. Is it supposed to cut off like that, though? Track 11: This starts with an acoustic guitar and drums. Good song this, catchy bassline and guitars. Track 12: Kinda funky influenced rock on this. I like this. Lots of Talking Heads influence on this, which can only be a good thing. I like this one! Again it seemed to cut off suddenly, though. Is that supposed to happen? Track 13: Nice song here, electronic beats and then some cool jazzy trumpet. Very easy on the ears this. My favourite after track 3. Track 14: We now have a change of mood. Slightly more upbeat and energetic. Quite good, but I'm not really keen on the chorus part :/ Track 15: Back to some electronica. Not too keen on this, I'm afraid. Its not bad, but doesn't really catch my attention, though :/ Track 16: I like the bass on this a lot. Very groovy, dancey electronica and a cool way to end a mixtape. I like this a lot. ---------------------------------------------------------- I would like to thank my mixtape partner for the effort he/she put into it. I really enjoyed some of the tracks on here, particulary tracks 3, 7, 11, 12, 13 and16. Thank you :)
