Time for the opinion of someone actually listening to the album as she writes this: Yeah. It is. For the next month or so I think I'll assume the position of 'Loud Mouth, Fucking Bitch U2 Fan In The Corner'. It's just hard not to defend a band that you spent somewhere close to 2,000 dollars on this past year :uhoh2: :wacko: And guess what, if I put on X&Y right now, I'll think that's better. Then I'll put on The Bomb and think THAT'S better. And it works. Because they're two of the best bands in the world and that's the END of the discussion.

Is it a bit hypocritical of everyone here to be insulting U2 for winning SOOOO many awards, for hogging all the Grammys, whereas if it were COLDPLAY nominated in all these categories we'd love to see them win everything? Hell, I have a feeling people would be complaining that they didn't get a Grammy for best rap album, just so they could get more. As for the comment about U2 dying sooner than Coldplay, so Coldplay can win... Well.... Why the hell am I even commenting, it's obvious it's pointless. I'm pissed off about all the U2 hate I've read today, completely unfounded. I should just get off the computer for the next month, or all my Coldplay sites, just until people stop. :snore: Sorry to ruin the mood... But I'm sure you all would stand up for Coldplay if they were being dissed in a U2 forum (and I've done that, as well). So I'm just sticking up for my boys. ;) EDIT: Oh yeah, someone asked if there are any Americans who remotely like u2.... Er, just look at the tour schedule they recently did, see the places they've played (and are going to play) around the world. Then check the "tickets for sale" status...... ;)

3 of the 5 so far, everybody!!!! Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album, Best Live Song and Steve Lillywhite got Best Producer for his work on HTDAAB (and something else, I can't remember what). :D Hope they get Best Album and Best Song, but I have a feeling they won't. Their performance was good, I enjoyed it. Thought it could be a bit stronger (on U2's behalf, not MJB's. She was strong enough :stunned: ). And Bono made no sense in the acceptance speech, but whatever. :lol:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Sorry, I don't like an unbalanced amount of U2 love and hate. ;) All the nominees for Best Rock Album this year were INCREDIBLY deserving, it was almost illegal. U2, CP, Stones, Young, Foo Fighters... U2's album was very strong, as were all the other ones. They deserved it. Coldplay would have deserved it. And then the U2 fans in the other forum I'm on right now would be having a bitch session about them. So let's keep that in mind before we get really bitter about it. Plus, it makes me sad... :cry:
