*The SMILEY RESEMBLANCE Thread!*
Alright, I thought this might be fun for everyone! I got the idea off of a U2 forum that I frequent. The idea of this thread is for everyone to post a picture(s) of Coldplay that resembles or portrays a smiley on this forum or any other. For example: :o OR  aha, let's see how long this lasts.... (I hope it makes sense!)

:-(
This might not ease your mind, but I saw U2 twice from behind the stage, and I absolutely loved the show. I know they're different bands, and everything, but you'd be surprised how good a show can be from behind it. You really see a lot. If the screen was going to block you, they wouldn't have sold the tickets. They're not allowed to do that. Unless they distinctly state on the tickets "Obstructed View", and I'm sure Coldplay is thoughtful enough to their fans not to stick them in some place where they can't see jack shit. ;) So don't worry, I'm sure you'll enjoy the show!

Why thank you  Definately one of my favorite Bono pictures. He looks so tough but... it's so obvious he isn't

How much do your friends influence you?
Not at all. I actually feel like I influence my friends more than vice versa... Well, they don't influence my style, or music choice, or movie choice, or life style choice, or what I want to do in my future. But I think subliminally they've made me a better person, luckily they're a good crowd. Not big into drinking or smoking or any of that "bad" (  ) stuff. Sometimes they can be a bit... into grades and I feel that pressure from them, but I don't let it get to me. They're not really into a lot of the same things that I am, though. Even though I did make my friend Kayleigh obsessed with Coldplay! :smug:

Did you have a typical puberty?
Erm, I think I was basically normal. I wasn't a TOTAL bitch to my parents, but we did have some random difficulties. I was pretty into my boybands and Britney Spears (  :embarrased: ). And I crushed on nearly every boy in my school  Holy shit, thank god that's all behind me!

How creative are you?
Hmmm.... Well, I play a few instruments (trumpet, piano, guitar, bass), but I'm not that good at any of them   I love drawing, usually portraits. It always helps to calm me down. And a lot of times I can be found hiding behind a camera... My friends call me paparazzi sometimes...  And yeah, it always helps to have music playing that you can scream your heart out to! (I wish I could write poems! I've tried, but they're just jibberish  )

Which song..?
Jeez.... yeah it really does! :stunned:  And the Backstreet Boys! :o Wow.... I was pretty pathetic. I loved my pop music. But hey, thank god it didn't last, right? ;) And I think it's a right of passage to have liked a boy band at one point in your early teenaged life!

Ah, thank you so much! :D

Which song..?
  I know, I know! But when I think back on it, it would have been around 2000? I was probably still upset that NSYNC broke up!!!!!!

Which song..?
Jeez.... Well, I distinctly remember hearing 'Yellow' on the local radio. That was SO long ago, I was quite young!! :stunned: And I remember seeing the 'Trouble' video on MTV countdowns.... But I didn't get REALLY obsessed with them until Rush of Blood came out. I think I got that back in the 8th grade, because I remember coming into class saying "Did anyone see that band Coldplay on the Grammys last night?" and someone said "Yeah, that guy going crazy on the piano. They were scary...."  Ah, innocence... But yeah, it was either Politik or Clocks that got me to like them. lmfao wow. I feel kind of old, suddenly....

Best Radiohead album
I voted The Bends, even though it took me awhile to think of it. It's just the album I listen to the most, lately. I'll probably regret it in a week and wish I voted for Kid A or something

Music films and documentaries!?
I'm not sure what you're asking, but I know a lot of music documentaries that are excellent. Of course, they all fit my music tastes, though... And I'm not sure what yours are, exactly. I see you've got a Who avi, have you ever seen The Kids Are Alright? That's an excellent biography documentary... thing. Don't Look Back and the recent No Direction Home are astounding documentaries focusing on Bob Dylan. Of course the Woodstock documentary is great too. I don't want to go out listing a lot of the DVDs I have, though, because I'm not sure who else would even want to see them. Like U2's Rattle&Hum, which is the best thing ever filmed (in my humble opinion :P ). But then again, you just have to know me to know I'm probably one of the biggest U2 fans in the entire world!  Erm, music movies... Spinal Tap's classic. Almost Famous is a brilliant film, my favorite movie. Wayne's World is another classic. I'm not sure, though, there aren't that many great actual movies based on a music theme that I really know of....

Arcade Fire
Hey, no problem. If I find any other info, I'll post it here. I'm so psyched for this! :D Arcade Fire's one of my favorite bands, and it's good to know that they're going to keep the same line up and not start changing up the group. I'll be keeping my eyes open for any other word on a release date, etc etc!

Arcade Fire
*Arcade Fire* Second Album!! I heard news on the radio that they're currently recording their second album in Montreal in a converted church that they bought. I didn't know how much to believe (I usually think the DJ on the channel I was listening to is a bit of a dumbass), but then I found this news on NME: The Arcade Fire go to church Band start recording in unlikely venue The Arcade Fire have spoken about their plans to record their second album in a converted church in Canada. Instead of going into a 'traditional' studio, the group have splashed out their own money and bought a church near to their home city of Montreal. Recording was due to start this month, with the band hoping to release the record in 2006. Guitarist Tim Kingsbury told NME.COM: "We're going to start recording. We just bought an old church just south of Montreal and we're turning it into a recording studio. Win (Butler) and Regine (Chassagne) they both sort of had a fantasy of buying a church. "In Quebec there's a lot of old churches and over the last 30 years, church attendance has gone down significantly. Especially Catholic churches. We're so they found it on the internet and we all went and looked at it and it's amazing. It's just a little country church. Maybe at most 150 people [could fit in there]." The band say that the church dates back to around 1900, and has an interesting history. "It's an old Presbyterian church from maybe around 1900 or so and then it was a Masonic lodge for some time so there's a mason's logo in stained glass in the window," he laughed. "We're pretty sure Mary Magdalane is buried under the cellar!" The band say they still have "a lot of work" to do on the songs for the follow-up to 'Funeral', which means it might not be out until next autumn. Kingsbury added: "We have a few (songs) that we've sort of started working on. We have a lot of work to do. I think a lot of this record, we'll just start working on something and take it from there. I think our goal is to have a record out in about a year." From: http://www.nme.com/news/the-arcade-fire/21670 Oh, this should be good! I'm so excited!! 'Funeral' has been out for so long, we definately need some new material! So, post any news or thoughts here, I suppose.
