I was never there, obviously, and I don't pretend to know what the band went through during the years between their Elevation tour and the release of 'Bomb'. From the interviews that I've read, however, I don't think they ever came close to splitting up. It was more of a "listen, you need to be with US now" thing. I mean, back in the 80s he was almost kicked out of the band for climbing up rafters... It's sort of like that. :lol: If anything, I think that Chris could even do more for his campaign. I'm actually of the opinion that if Coldplay were to not tour for a couple years while Chris worked for MTF, or whatever, that would be an extremely good thing. By serving people in need, by trying to get justice for these people in any way, I think that that's more meaningful and worthwhile than playing to me, who've already seen them. Is that selfish of me? I hope not. Chris probably doesn't want to get involved in the politics of it, and that's probably a good thing. Bono has said that it's physically hard on him, and emotionally, to have to deal with these selfish people who run the world. (he didn't use those words, but whatever.) Maybe the world only needs one international activist, afterall... *feels better now* :lol:
