iriden, I've actually considered renewing my subscription now just to get that. isn't that sad? I really want it, though!!! I just got my membership back in October! Huh. If you could upload it, in any way, I'd love to see it! But you don't hurt yourself over it!! I'm still so proud of Bono. I was gushing all day today like "Oh, who so totally is the best person of the year? EVER, for that matter? BONO. DUUUH" and everyone wanted me to shut the hell up about him. I never do, though. Now. He just needs a Nobel Peace Prize and the world will be a fair place. I think they're having their last show of the American Vertigo tour tonight in Portland (or was it last night, or tomorrow? I think it's tonight because I remember I considered going awhile back.... ). I feel sad... If I were going I'd bring a sign that'd say "CONGRADULATIONS TO THE PERSON OF THE YEAR!" *done rambling*

Wow, great guitarthescientist06!! My acoustic's similiar, but since it was fairly cheap I could never get a good sound out of it. Great thing about a really nice guitar (like my tele) is that I don't have to change the strings every 2 weeks!

Coldplay on ACL...
Just saw it, great great performance! Wow. Michael Stipe was amazing, as well!!! I loved that! Texasluvsjonny, you're so lucky to have actually seen that live!! Chris was crazy, I loved it!!  Thanks for the speedy screen caps!!

No problemo. I love all the pictures at musicpictures.com, and I've even been tempted to be a premium member to get the watermarks off. But then I realised you actually have to buy prints and.... no thanks.  My love for saving pictures doesn't extend THAT far!

Why always Chris and Jonny??
I don't think you should post the rest of that here. It might be a bit inappropriate for a public forum, where there is no restrictions on what age people are who might be reading this. Not lecturing or anything, but I don't want to see anyone get in trouble here for posting almost pornographic content. Of course, there might not be any, but....

I just spent a half hour doing this, because I'm pathetic. Don't ask why I saved it "happyholidaysBITCH", because I don't know.   :santa3:  EDIT: I'm sure a caption could be fit to that. I've just been sitting here racking my brain for one

Coldplay... when does it become an obsession?
I understand completely where you're coming from. Only for me, it can vary between Coldplay and U2. I'm sure a lot of people think it's mad to be so in love with a band, or a song, or whatever. It's not to me, though. Yesterday I was at Best Buy and there were people lined up outside in the frigid cold, waiting for a new shipment of X-Box 360s. That were coming in TODAY. None of them were garuanteed one, but they were still there. For whatever reasons, I don't know. People were laughing at them (and I'll admit, it was sort of amusing to see tents outside Best Buy). But... My mom looked at me and said "Does this seem familiar to you?" because back in October that's exactly what I did outside the Garden in Boston to see U2. To me, it's no different. Sure it could be crazy to wait outside all day and night to get front row at a concert (or a gaming system), but if you're passionate about it and if you love it and if it's not hurting anyone, who cares? I'd much rather be passionate about something (like Coldplay) than feel nothing. That'd be so boring. I feel, if you're gonna love something, go all out.  I think I have a life, and sure my life might revolve a little too heavily around April 4th when I'm seeing Coldplay, but whatever. I ain't complainin'. I want to get a job just so I can pay for all my concerts. I want a car so I can drive up to New Hampshire to see Coldplay on April 3rd. I love being obsessive. It's so much fun. :wideeyed:

http://www.time.com/time/ Bono along with Bill and Melinda Gates have been named the People of the Year by Time magazine. *victory whoop* Good for Bono!!! This got my day off to a great start! EDIT: Here's the article on B: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1142151,00.html EDIT AGAIN. Nevermind. It's only for Time subscribers. Ughhh. That's completely unfair. I think this is on newstands tomorrow, I'll have to pick it up.

U2
I can still remember SMELLS from my October show. That's very believable to me  I kept having flashbacks today to my concert 2 weeks ago. I miss them so much... I mean, it was basically a year that I had of knowing that no matter what, I'd be seeing U2 soon. Now that that's over, I feel kind of sad. I definately became too addicted to the euphoria of a U2 show!!

It depends on the guitar you're getting. I know that if you want an electric guitar, they have packages that you can get. They come with, for example, a Fender Squier (the "learners" guitar), an amp, the wires you'll need, a learners book and maybe a gig bag. That can be about 200, it depends. I got my first guitar, an Aria acoustic (some cheapo brand) for 100 bucks. My Telecaster was around 650, though... :dizzy: But it's worth every cent that I paid. It really just depends on the brand you want, what type model and where you're getting it. A lot of times you can bargain with the seller and get quite a deal!!- The Buckland Religion~Official Thread
Hmmmm... Well, I've never taken lessons, but I can still play fairly well. I'd definately recommend getting a chord book and learning chords first. I mean, you can sit and play tabs until the cows come home, but you won't really learn anything of value from it. Tabs are good too, though. Because if you work on them for awhile you can build up speed, etc etc (like I taught myself Talk and at first I couldn't do it at ALL, but now I'm pretty good at it). I'd recommend just getting a Guitar for Dummies ( they have those, too!) or some learners book, a chord book (I have a picture chord book, which is very helpful since sometimes the tabs can be hard to read) and maybe a book of Coldplay songs. Sit down and just play. You've got to keep it up, so you can build up calluses, and it won't hurt after awhile. Hope this helps! I love playing the guitar, it's fun and really relaxing.- The Buckland Religion~Official Thread
 I quite like Chris' guitars, but I've never seen any around that resemble them. I feel really cool playing Daylight with the slide on my Tele. I like to pretend I'm Jonny. Then I realise how weird that is, and I freak myself out. :uhoh:  - Guy the Panther/Jonny the Dove/Chris the Monkey/Will the Cat
