Liam slags of brother Noel and Chris Martin
I like the man, I really do. God knows why lol.

Does anybody here ever cringe at Chris Martin's speeches?
It's refreshing to see someone who feels able to interact on a level with an audience, in my opinion.

the next three singles should be...
DON'T release Fix You as a single PLEASE I beg of you. It's an AMAZING song but there's a reason it shouldn't be released. It's a FESTIVAL song, it's inspirational, and for some reason putting it on a CD would devalue it. Put it in their greatest hits selection when they're fading away, which I hope won't be any time soon.

"Speed of Sound" - the meaning of the lyrics?
NEGATIVE i have to disagree X&Y was always meant to 'examine the unanswerable questions' and one of those questions is how the world began. Maybe I'm reading too literally into the lyrics but that's the great thing about cp songs - they're open to interpretation. I think the song concludes that there must be a higher power - God - that created everything around us. It's also half just wondering about the beauty and amazing quality of the world, but the message I get is that he understands he's ccountable to a higher power. It's about inspiration and, honestly, about the meaning of life. "All those signs, I knew what they meant. Some things you can't invent." are the actual lyrics. I don't know if Chris is religious but there's certainly undertones in there.

Best Coldplay Lyrics Ever
"Lights will guiiiiide you home, and igniiiiite your bones, and I wil try to fix you" "But questions of science, sience and progress, do not speak as loud as my heart" "In a bulletproof vest, with the windows all closed, I'll be doing my best, I'll see you soon"

Rank The Songs - X & Y
1 - Fix You - THE most beautiful song I have ever heard and probably the one most likely to get scarves in the air at festivals. 2 - What If - VERY decent track with solid words and a powerful message. Chorus is a little weaker but hey, it's still brilliant. 3 - Swallowed in the Sea - the 3rd most beautiful song ever written, behind The Scientist and Fix You. Stunning. 4 - The Hardest Part - How can you NOT love it? It's easy to sing along to, very catchy, and though the words are slightly less powerful than some others, it's still a very good song. 5 - A Message - Grows on you, and when he sings "And I love you, please come home", that line is emotional beyond belief. 6 - Speed of Sound - probably so low because of it being a single and the fact I've listened to it over and over. For me it's the anthem of my AS-levels, as it's all I played that week on mp3 player. Live at Glastonbury, their 2nd best track behind Scientist. 7 - White Shadows - Again, could have been higher, a potential single, amazing up until 'Maybe you get what you wanted" which just takes the buzz out of it. Not bad though. 8 - Talk - Maybe I demonstrate my age by not knowing this is not an original, but it's a great song. Just lacks the edge and rememberability. 9 - Square One - I'll be honest, not the best start to the album, a little too instrumental for my liking, and it sounds too electric, if you know what I mean. The end of the song is fantastic though...'Or if you're stuck in square ooone' 10 - Low - As I sit here, I can't remember what this one goes like, exactly why it's at number 10, HOWEVER, now that I've remembered it, it should be higher! Just lacks the punch for me. 11 - Decent but not their best effort, I can sit and listen to it and it relaxes me but it's in no way exciting. 12 - Twisted Logic - I'll be honest...WTF?! Just odd, unusual, maybe it's supposed to be weird, I don't know, but it makes no sense at all and the instrumental isn't anything to shout about. 13 - Kingdom Come - Dull. Simple as. It has of God Put a Smile about it for me, but I liked GPASOYF because it had a louder, exciting chorus. This doesn't. Overall I can see why some people don't like this album. Unlike AROBTTH and Parachutes the tracks are a little bit...samey at times. But overall, it's still a fabulous album, and it's staying on my CD rack for the rest of time.
