well, i cant believe they even voted for fanatics like the ppl who ran the hizballa. I dont believe that if hizballa was chosen there were really democratic elections. Only the kind of election where ppl are afraid to vote otherwise, so elect the strong terror group. that's what happenned with hitler (not that i'm comparing ot anything, but it's also like that in many other "democracies" around the globe)

oh, and many ppl forget to mention the fact that hizballa launched a missle at an arab village in israel and 2 little ARAB kids were killed... and you're telling me hizballa wants the best for the palestinians?? U've gotta be kidding me... and u know who they blamed for the 2 kids getting killed? Israel, of course. For not having an alarm system in Nazerath. That's just being blind...

thousands. Every year, on memorial day channel 33 here broadcasts the names of all the israeli civilians that were killed at war. It's thousands. on March, 2002 over 100 ppl were killed in suicide bombings, just in march. That was the most horrible year of my life....

relative loss has nothing to do with it. We only get less casualties because we have better shelter, that doesnt change the fact that ppl are killed and that they attack us alooooot. up till now i think we're at about 50-60 casualties. I dont know what the exact number is.

You'reobviously missing alot of information. everyday the hizballa launches 100 missles to Haifa, which is a very very major city in israel, and other villages in the north. The only reason there were less casualties on israel's side is simply because we have better shelter not because they attack us less.

this is a classic example of someone who comes in here without having any background information, posts one post with statements that have no basis just to make some ppl mad or upset and then leaves... makes me sick...............

if u dont want ppl to think you're a bastard, refrain from comments like that. Israel made some bad decisions, but dont go saying we are terrorists. This is a democracy, that has to make quick vital decisions during war, and this is what happenned. Every military makes bad moves during war, it happens.

i figured what had happenned yesterday would bring the debate back up again here, I dont have time to read all of the replies but this is what i'll say. I think israel is put in a very bad situation, because the only way to insure the end of this war, which is with a terror organization, is by killing the leaders of the organization. Yesterday i was very very upset about what had happenned. It made me feel like our army are just killing them one by one and it did start to make me wonder. However, i talked with my friend's dad about it- because we all watched the news and started saying that it seems our army is just making one mistake after another. And he said that what they do is check the listings of all properties that are written under hizballa's name and attack them. That's why we're put in a difficult situation- we dont know where the hizballa ppl are hiding, we only have speculations about their where abouts. And sadly, this is the only way to do it. That's one it was a very specific attack on the one building. I believe that if the lebanonese ppl were abit more open to what was going on theyd realise that the hizballa are only making their life a living hell by hiding amongst them, and getting them into this war when they dont even have the right shelter to defend themselves. And instead of seeing that, the ppl there attacked the UN building and praised the hizballa. So maybe some eyes need to be opened. Plus, the israeli air force admitted to attacking that building. However it only collpased 7 hours after the attack. That's why ppl say, and i'm not saying this is true but there is room to believe it, that there was an inside attack later that day by the hizballa to get lots of casualties and make the lebanonese ppl to be for this war, and to want the destruction of israel even more. If it seemed to have worked. When i watched the news yesterday all i saw was ppl shouting "Hizballa destoy Tel Aviv". and this is what i think sucks on our side of this story. I think by this war we're just creating the next generation of arabs that hate us... however, i also see them hating us without any wars because they just want us out of here....

i watched it yesterday... it was one of the most horrible movies i have ever seen in my entire life!!!! They changed things from the book that were really unnecessary. For example, that in the end sophie isnt soniure's granddaughter, and the way they filmed teabing when they werent showing him was just horrible. In general the whole way they turned the book into a movie wasnt done well, mostly being the fact that in the book there are many times when information is given (not someone saying it), and that isnt given in the movie. The movie is very hard to follow if u havent read the book. I found myself explaining everything to my friend while we watched it, until she just lodt intrest because it was too complicated. It's a shame... it could have been a good movie.

oh, and what u just said has nothing to do with the fact that i see judaism as part of the israeli nationality

so u think it was wrong of the americans to take the land from the native americans? No land was ever completly empty, almost all the countries were conquered and maybe established over a minority that may have been there before. That's no reason to stay at war for half a century.

why are u so fixed on jerusalem? and rest assured that even if parts of the jerusalem are given back, i'm positive the attacks wont stop until they get it all back

there are paletinians in jerusalem, lots of them. Along side with jews. I would know, I live in jerusalem.
