Who cares what football fans like? They are watching for the game, not the show. Most people watch the super bowl aren't "fans", they watch it because it's the super bowl. Commercials, product placement, half-time show and somewhere in there an actual game is played. Anyway, I would love for them to do a heartfelt show. Politik, Amazing Day, Fix You. They might get somewhat close to the U2 show. However, chances are they will go full pop dance. AOAL (with dancing monkeys), Hymn (With Beyonce), ETIAW (with xylobands and pyro).

It's about the only thing left to put on their resume. I just hope Chris doesn't become a nervous wreck. More people will be watching this than anything they've ever been a part of. As Chris would say "Could be shit, could be good". Also, how epic would it be if they brought xylobands along?

This song is just so good. The beginning can maybe use a bit of ironing out, but man, once it gets going... no wonder it's so long, I bet they just wanted to keep going with the energy. And dat guitar solo just so satisfying. South Side?

I didn't catch the heavy U2 influence when we first heard it, but wow is it ever present. I'm loving the song more than ever.

Thanks for setting up the stream! I tried everything to get ticket for this show, called every hour, did all the social contests, had a 4/19 chance of winning their last minute facebook giveaway but no luck!

It's actually really nice to go to a show and not have to watch through a sea of screens. Everyone is more into the show and having a lot more fun.

Wow dianne, you never give up until the absolute last second! Kind of not surprised to hear it was mostly industry people. Good to hear the band was having fun though!

I've been trying to remember a bit more about the song: It opens with Will banging the crap out of the drums, Jonny chimes in with his guitar part, then Chris bursts into singing and dancing. I don't remember much of the lyrics (and as Diane said, it was hard to pick them out), but it's pretty much describing falling into a head full of dreams. There's some birds/flying reference, which made me think it was Birds at first. There's an ohh ohhhooohhhhaauh section near the end with the whole band, and I believe the lyrics closed with Chris shouting "in a head full, in a head full of dreams" then the song ends with a piano piece. We couldn't really hear the piano part at the end. The first take, Chris played it. During the second take, Corden jumped on the piano. They told him to play whatever and the sound would be added in.

Having heard AHFOD at the Late Show, tonight's snippet wasn't from that song. However, AHFOD does have lyrics referencing birds. I thought it was birds at first until the second take when it became clear it was AHFOD. Birds and flying seems to be a common theme with the band now, kinda fits with the no more keeping my feet on the ground theme of old.

Fits well with AOAL, very colorful. Best album opener? Hard to say, it's up there will Politik in the way it just explodes, very much how DLIBYH does. So far, having not heard the album version, I like it a bit more than AOAL.

I'm sure everyone will hear it tomorrow in the Tidal show. From the way the show was set up, Corden mentioned the album "just released", suggesting the show will air after Dec 4. They did each song twice, then all the guys sat down for an interview. They attempted to do a promo where Corden laid on the laps of the guys, but the way his head was situated above Chris'...lap... made the producer think twice about that one.
