  1. I really hope this will be good, the trailer sounded promising...
  2. I'm disappointed that there isn't The Race... Oh well, maybe next album... Also, isn't Coloratura, which is releasing tomorrow, ten minutes or so long? Or will they release a shorter mix as a single and the whole thing on the album? EDIT: Answered my own question; it's the whole ten minutes.
  3. https://coldplaying.com/forums/topic/80648-music-of-the-spheres-track-list/page/3/#comments
  4. If anybody wants to post speculative track lists, I have an entire thread for that...
  5. I quite like this one. Better than my second favourite, the ZHU remix.
  6. I thought that you'd posted a picture of New Order or The Who there...
  7. Nice idea, although I'm not sure where Coldplay would go with Major Tom after Blackstar.
  8. Do you have Human Heart?
  9. With all this BTS talk, I just want Dakota Star to come back even more...
  10. Maybe Kaotica has something to do with Coldplay's eco views? Perhaps Kaotica is not a separate planet, but their vision of a future Earth where global warming has caused the extinction of important species of animals and plants on Earth, and human society has been brought down to its most basic form - 'kaos'. Because of people panicking, struggling to survive, Public services like rubbish collection are liquidated to fund militaries to keep people in order, but this makes the kaos worse. Civil war erupts in many countries around the world. The European Union falls apart at the seams, quickly followed by China, India and the USA, who all are reliant on each other. Only countries that are self-sufficient survive, but mental health issues spiral out of control, as people start to think they have no future in a world with no beauty and life. Suicide and disease begins to kill more people than food shortages, and further governments fall, destroyed by people who believe they have failed them. But this creates a lawless society, like a Hunger Game of 7 billion people. Eventually, everybody gives up. There is no life to live, so why live? Luckily the world probably won't end up like that, but the story's good.
  11. We've only heard one song from the album, so I think making the decision not to buy it up to a year before the album releases is a bit of an overreaction. I didn't like Higher Power but I'm not going to disregard the rest of Music Of The Spheres because of it.
  12. Perhaps the real song was the friends we made along the way.
  13. Not a typo. It's a meme.? ----------------------------------- I'm going to echo earlier comments that the song is unoriginal. It's not bad (people who were on the main thread before the new 'era' started), but it's not good either. It's quite flat, with Chris' vocals being drowned out and the rest of the instruments being overshadowed by an unoriginal 80s synth, but even that isn't special, because '80s' isn't a genre - you can't make a song sound like 'the 80s', because lots of songs from that time sounded very different. The synth they used was completely generic, like a GarageBand loop. The lyrics, as muted as they are, are probably the most redeemable thing about the song. I imagine that if they ever release an acoustic version, they will be a lot more impactful and, crucially, loud enough to be heard. It would be a similar story to Princess Of China, which had a disappointing original version, but the acoustic version made it a heartfelt love song instead of track 1 of Now That's What I Call I'm Going To Buy The New LCD Soundsystem Album Instead. So, Higher Power: not bad, not good, just forgettable. I wasn't aware people got so emotional over music, and I'm surprised people cry over upbeat songs like Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. I think the only time I've cried over a song in the past few years was Intro by C418.
  14. Higher Power is definitely one of the songs ever made.
  15. I thought that Skyhook sounded a bit spacey or exploratory, and it reminded me of their upcoming (and first) game, Lawn Mowing Simulator. Up until now they have mostly made content for Train Simulator.
  16. Considering how difficult it is to be carbon-neutral (which is why most people don't bother), I very much doubt Coldplay could realistically achieve beyond carbon-neutral-ness (carbon negativity?)... Still, it'll be fun to see what they do to try.
  17. They will certainly tour again, it's effectively printing money for them. If they want to make themselves carbon-neutral, I am sure they are perfectly capable of it (although I'd rather they help rebuild peat bogs than plant trees), but even if they can't, they'll do it anyway.
  18. OH MY GOD UFO 2 CONFIRMED TO BE ON MUSIC OF THE SPHERES
  19. What makes you think that?
  20. He looks like he's a 25 year old man trying to be hip with the kids in a skatepark in the 80s, but I think that's what he's going for. ?
  21. I do love it when the super-rich get angry at each other.
