  1. If I had to give my opinion, I would say: -2002/2003 (in those days his style gave the impression of a "simple guy" enjoying music, which mirrors the inner reason why he started his career) -VLV (in that era he seemed to be a solid "character", as if he was part of a story) -Ghost stories (I appreciate the simplicity of the outfits, which fitted well into the low-key atmosphere of the album). Despite appreciating X&Y, his style in that period isn't among my favourites (except for the curly hair, which of course I love). However, I can understand the choice to prefer dark and plain clothes to give more space to the music and lights during the shows. In this sense, it worked pretty well.
  2. Toronto 2006 and Isle of Wight festival 2006 stole my heart💘
  3. Not among my favourite songs, but not a song I would skip if it came on while listening something else. Obviously, that's my opinion🥰
  4. @Thesunmustsettorisewelcome on the forum!🥰
  5. Hi Lucia! Welcome💛 I am Italian as well!
  6. I feel this!
  7. That's impressive as a change!🤣 I don't know if this counts as a misread lyrics, but in 'Always in my head' at the beginnings I always hear "portami via", which in Italian means "take me away"
  8. I think one of the issues is that it is a challenge to create a cohesive setlist, because they have recordered albums which are very different from each other in terms of style. For example, transitioning from a song from Parachutes to the ones of AHFOD/MOTS in the same concert clearly requires some sort of pianification. So, more VLV or X&Y songs would definitely imply a reorganization of their setlist, but I agree that it would be great to add them, even if they were performed occasionally or on rotation🙂
  9. It's a bit weird to me. I think that if they have chosen to delete at least temporary Coloratura from the setlist, it would be even more weird to close the concert with a song from a previous era... Therefore, the choice for the closer boils down to the songs of MOTS, and given that many are already included in a "fixed" position in the setlist, this is the one which seems to be available for this purpouse. However, I still find it weird (probably because the song itself hasn't grown on me that much) Feel free to disagree🙂
  10. I don't have the impression it was pre-planned. Chris was trying to buy time because of the onstage fire; that fan in that moment was the best chance Chris had to distract the audience and therefore to avoid panic. However, pre-planned or not, honestly, I don't care... I mean, they played Gravity live in front of an audience for the first time in almost 20 years. And to me it sounded so good, that I'm a bit upset they have waited for so long before performing it live😅 Feel free to disagree, but it's one of my favourites I was wondering if they would have played Gravity regardless of the fire during this show, if they were reharsing the song for future shows or simply for themselves...
  11. Same for me. The first time I listened to it, it was a gut-wrenching experience. I remember having difficulties in listening the album from start to finish for the first time. The opener, Always in my head, really sets the tone for the whole album. It was like peeping into someone else's private issues, so not that easy to digest for me. Overall I think that in this album they achieved a good balance between songs which are uplifting and songs which are emotionally darker. To me the strength of the album is that, being developed from personal experiences, it is definitely sincere. I also appreciate the thematic cohesion and the risks they have taken on in terms of musical experimentation.

  13. Hi! I've also decided to tell my story, because I enjoy reading all your answers! The first songs I can remember are Coldplay songs of AROBTTH (Clocks in particular). My dad plays the guitar and at that time he had some interest for Coldplay music; however, I was only 5 yo, so a bit too young to really get consciously into Coldplay. In 2008/2009 my interest for the band became a conscious curiosity, and I started to follow them more and more. I remember as if it happened yesterday that a friend of mine during a school trip in 2009 made me listen to VLV and Fix you and that for me it was mind blowing. I actually lost a bit of interest during the Ghost stories era, not because of the band itself, but because of personal issues which were going on in my life. During those years I remember listening to X&Y a lot; the music of that album really got me through a very hard period, the lyrics could speak to my soul as nothing else could... and that's also why X&Y is my favourite album. At university (so, during the last 5 or 6 years basically), I've found again my passion for the band, and here I am 😉 I recently discovered that a collegue which works with me is a fan, so we have some common interest 😌
  14. Oh well I didn't actually know about this performances of Politik during their last tour, good news anyway! Thanks for sharing😁 Yes, I know that the lenght of the song is an issue to deal with especially with Coloratura at the end, but I I'll keep my fingers crossed for some occasional performances of it🤞
  15. I feel you, especially for Moving to Mars and TKC lol 😅 @Coeurli I agree with your setlist, but to me the chances of a live performance of Politik are limited; it's quite an heavy song in a certain sense, so I can't really imagine it being played along with the rest of the setlist, but maybe I'm wrong... needless to say, if Politik were perdormed live, that would be awesome😍 Everything's not lost doesn't seem so unlikely to be performed, at least on rotation with other songs, because it was played in Seattle some months ago (I think it was in Seattle, but I'm not sure about this)
