  1. Ok I haven't listened to the album in full so far, I've read all the previous opinions, which are extremely heterogeneous as usual, BUT I assume that the interlude ? must be objectively weird as almost everyone agrees on this point.... so I'm curious to listen to it now I will listen to the whole album tomorrow however
  2. Does anyone know if they may add some more dates for the European tour? Because I've noticed that there are no dates at all for Spain and Italy which is a bit puzzling (I was hoping to see them in Milan given that they played there twice for the AHFOD tour)?
  3. The same, I have hopes for People of the Pride but I'm also curious about Human Kind andโ™พ๏ธ. I'm not that hyped for Biutyful at the moment, but maybe I will be surpised in the end.. I've the feeling that my favourite track on MOTS will remain Coloratura
  4. Or maybe it is the official announcement of their last single?
  5. Unless we get some other very (very very) unexpected surprise in the tracks we hadn't still listened to, but at this point I highly doubt about this possibility. Also because to me MOTS as a project seems more directed to the "general audience/all ages public" than EL, so except People of the Pride, I think they have hold themselves back overall?
  6. Yes! I also enjoyed Coloratura live, I think they have made a huge improvement in performing it live since the Howard Stern Show performance
  7. First of all thank you for your detailed story about the show, I was waiting for someone who could update us ? So I assume that People of the Pride is going to be pretty awesome live! Also thank you for clarifying that news about a possible upcoming tour, because I when I've read about this the other day, I've had the sensation that even though fans were becoming overexcited, there may be some delay in their official announcement of the tour due to the pandemic. (Good to know that the host did his homework and prepared himself for the interview this time, I'm trying to figure out Til Kingdom come on MX, but I can't, that's hilarious ahah?)
  8. Basically I agree with both of you because even though their "original sound" has obviously changed over time, some of their pop songs are still enjoyable. I'm far from appreciating everything that I they have put out after Viva, but when I occasionally listen to generic pop music, in many cases I prefer their pop sound to many other artists (even though I also fell in love with Coldplay listening to the first four albums, which are my favourite ones). Every now and then they still experiment with something new, so I don't really think they are exclusively stuck in pop music. I don't know, and actually I'm not even interested in knowing, if this might be a strategy to expand their fan base or whatever. I've come to terms with their choice to keep evolving in different directions (included the pop one), if this allows them to be still out there and to put out a "Coloratura" or a "Everyday life lp" from time to time. I think it is a bit tricky to consider their production in terms of old/new sound, because for example even though I love Coloratura and I've appreciated lp8, to me their sound is quite different from the old albums. In other words, I don't think they will ever go completely back to their origins, and this could make sense, as we have already at least 3 albums with the same style. But maybe we will get something even better, if they keep experimenting, who knows. Personally so far I like 3 songs of the tracks we know in MOTS, but none of them resembles the "typical Coldplay sound", and I'm ok with it ?
  9. 1. X&Y 2.AROBTTH 3. VLVODAAHF (At the present moment)
  10. I never would have guessed from Overtura that they had reused that VLV demo in People of the pride. I appreciate that they have worked on that old material. The song clicked with me almost immediately (I love the the lyrics in particular). Can't wait for the studio version now
  11. Oh it could be! If (as I suppose) they have more materials than the demos we already know left from VLV sessions with Eno, I think we are going to get some good songs in a few years. Maybe they will keep the old basic idea but with something new (see People of the pride, Max Martin helped them to shape something they already had). However Imho they will carefully reuse these oltre demos in different albums; in MOTS we have already one, and so probably we won't get a second track of that group (at least not a track developed from the demos we know). I may be completely wrong of course, it's just a personal thought, we will see?
  12. Personally I don't believe this is one of the best Coldplay song, however I'm already happy with Coloratura, Human heart (and possibly people of the pride) so far. I've watched the video for sheer curiosity as I always find interesting these types of "behind the scenes" (the hope was to get some "hints" at what's coming next at this point, however nothing interesting unfortunately for us came out?) I don't know if someone has already mentioned this topic, but I watched the Global Citizen live yesterday and I've really appreciated the version of "Fix you" with Billie Eilish. And judging from Will's reaction at the very end of the song, I would dare to say he might agree with me! (I'm sorry for my English, I'm Italian)
  13. Yes, I also think we should consider EL as a gift to the fans, especially to the devoted ones who have followed the band throughout different periods; I don't really think that they are going to play EL songs while promoting MOTS or on a possible following tour, but maybe in the long run they might decide to play them every now and then. After all, even though EL era was quite brief, the band seemed satisfied with the album. I wonder if without the pandemic EL destiny would have been the same. This is obviously just my personal opinion. anyway people of the pride lyrics are basically the same of the man who swears, and personally I have always loved that kind of "darkness" in the lyrics of VLV period!
  14. And I'm glad they will, because I have always loved the lyrics of the demo version. can't wait for People of the Pride! This forum is like a time machine btw ?
  15. Yeah, I think that the song in terms of lyrics would have been perfect for VLVODAAHF. However I like this heavy final version, definitely something they've never done before. Probably they'll get a lot of criticism for this reason, but if they hadn't experimented that much over the past years, they wouldn't have come out with something like Coloratura, or certain songs on EL ep
  16. This song is like a warm hug? It is something very different from what they have done so far imo, but in a good way. I think they will combine a lot of styles and influences in this album (Coloratura, HP and Human heart may prove my theory), so I'm curious about how all this diversity will be held together
  17. It's my birthday, what a gift this year ahah? I didn't imagine they waited that long actually
