I disagree with the songs you chose (I don´t really like Everglow and I thing Rainy Day is a good b-side, although I love Glass of Water and O), but I deeply agree on the thought that, if you wanted to show someone what Coldplay is about, I would not let them hear My Universe or A head full of Dreams, but Politik, Us against the world, Coloratura, Church, Don´t let it break your heart... and a real long etc.

To push the album back to September, touring all summer with some of the new songs (which by the way, is it too naive to expect the new songs live right now? Probably it is...) wouldn´t make any sense, with only the Oceania concerts taking place with the album published...

If the album is coming out in May, we won´t hear anything new until March, at least, don´t you think?

Thanks Doomotron, I couldn´t agree with you more. It´s a shame when through the first three or four albums Chris tried its best to develop himself as a better songwriter. We all know about his incredible abilty to create great melodies, but lately the lyrics seem to follow the "the easier, the better" pattern.

Probably, the first place would be for Ladder to the sun. I don´t understand the love for Life is beautiful, it´s such an ordinary melody in my opinion. And The Race is the kind of nowadays song, epic, positive and colourful, but I don´t mean it in the good way😅

I remember reading Chris saying they had this previous version of "Talk", the people in their company listened to it and thought it was great, so they got worried and changed it to the one that ended in the album. I don´t know if it was Chris trying to be funny or it´s a real story, but I´ve always thought the demo is better than the final one.

Very interesting ideas there! The last time I saw them live was the Mylo Xyloto´s presentation in Spain, so I know a lot has changed about what Coldplay is live nowadays. That means, of course, I haven´t seen them during the MOTS, so I´m getting surprised with some of the things you´re writting... - Chris not singing some of the songs? It´s the first time I hear about it, and I´m horrified. You certaintly don´t mean those songs where he lets the crowd sing some parts, do you? Could you be more specific? - I think The Jordanator is right, in a massive stadium show like this one, it´s unlikely the setlist will be longer, and I think 3 Moon Music songs will replace some of the MOTS ones, not be added. - I would love to hear Coloratura live (with People of the Pride, the only MOTS tracks I really like), but again, as it´s not a known ballad it´s not likely to survive. - As you can guess, I would like any other song to be the closer if that means Biutyful leaves the setlist. On the other hand, I think Higher Powert works as an opener, although I would rather something more atmospheric, if you know what I mean.

If by "genuine" you mean doing the album the band wanted to do, of course it´s genuine, like everything they do since they got the status. And also of course the kind of sound they achieved it´s the one they were looking for or the one they agreed to go on with. That doesn´t make it any good at all. And you can tour nowadays with any kind of album you do, doesn´t need to be stadiums and the music doesn´t need to be as basic and uninspired like most of the MOTS songs.

Am I getting it right? ETIAW is not on the setlist every night? That´s surprising for me, but I prefer to miss one of the favourites rather than having a static setlist.

After sending my post I did a little research and found the canadian CityNews interview where they´re so clear and sure about it, and the Rogers´words too. Thanks anyway, I hope I´d like a little more the next one than MOTS...

I think Coldplay has cheaper tickets than Taylor, so it´s easier for our boys to sold out. Anyway, the numbers of tickets sold this tour are beyond crazy.

Hi there, I´m new here so be nice😂 I´ve been reading a lot of your posts and I have a simple but key question: where does the information about this next album coming from? Because I see you already got a possible title (Moon Music?)... I have to say that I don´t really love the point where Coldplay are nowadays, MOTS is by far their worst album in my opinion, but I also recognize that I miss enjoying them live, because the last time I saw them it was Madrid´s world presentation of Mylo Xyloto, so I bought today tickets for Dublin and Munich (I´ll go only to one of those, but that´s another story).
