Two possible explanations: 1) Because being more alternative you don´t fill stadiums all over the world. 2) Because they don´t like/want to be alternative, they really like the music they´re writing. I guess both are true.

That´s true, and I hated for a couple of weeks ETIAW because I found it too commercial (well, it really was, but it has become a joy anthem for me along the years). But you can find it hard to get the new style of a song, or the group´s different direction, but that´s not what I´m saying here. Magic, Violet Hill or ETIAW were challenging, were something different.

I can´t see why it wouldn´t work, it has the easiest chorus they have ever done, everything in the song is directed to be heard without any effort (and without any emotion neither, in my opinion). I think it will work on the radio and in the stadiums as well, but it´s not the kind of song I would like to hear.

I find it a little boring, flat, not exciting at all. Which in a group like Coldplay it´s really surprising. And I understand that somebody coulds say it´s like a mix of "My Universe" and "Higher Power", and as I feared, for the bad reasons. It´s an extremely easy-to-listen song, I expect much better things from Moon Music.

I would find it strange to publish the album in October and don´t tour Europe and/or USA with it. The only option I can think of, if they don´t, it´s because they think the album doesn´t have more than 3 songs suitable for the tour, but that would be really unlikely.

I guess the video will come out some days or even weeks after tomorrow, it usually goes that way.

My guess is that in the small board are written the discarded songs.

If the album is announced, probably they got all those details completely sorted out.

The article Coldplero linked explained Chris took a look at the romanian charts, so that about "most romanians" hating that kind of music... I´m spanish, and I don´t like most reggaeton songs, but it sounds everywhere and the masses love it, it is what it is.

There´s nothing cooler right now than being a Coldplay fan, as the tour numbers tell. That´s exactly the problem.

Infinity Sign, the one on MOTS? Everytime someone says something like that I have to play it and make sure we´re talking about the same song.

When I say "next friday" I mean very soon, but you´re right, Phil said there´ll be an anouncement really soon but we don´t really know anything else. But as Famous Old Painter just said, doesn´t make any sense to release the teaser and the wait a month or two to release the actual single.

I don´t really care about the outfits, but I can´t understand to lose the opportunity of showing your new single to a "small" audience, and then release it worldwide a week later officially. In a stadium there is a mayority of casual fans, people that don´t know more than one or two songs from the last album and can´t tell the difference between AROBTTH and X&Y, but the real fans deserve not to see exactly the same show from last year. Really disappointing in my opinion.
