Maybe I´m alone here, but I can´t see Aeterna work out as a successful single. Ok, it´s catchy, urges to dance, but it doesn´t have anything else. I´ve said here that I really like it, but being honest, it doesn´t have the massive end ASFOS has, it could work on clubs at night, but I don´t see it being repeated again and again on the radio.

What would have made "Moon Music" one of the band´s four best albums: - A little but of effort and deepness on Chris´lyrics. The lalalas are completely unnecessary on FLIFIL and "All my love", and the title track, "Karate Kid" and "Man on the moon" show you can talk about simple and basic feelings, things everybody can relate to, without using the vocabulary from a primary child. No need for philosophy at all, but this is shameful. - I like the transition from the title track to FLIFIL, for real, but don´t like at all that half of the songs have an appendix, and it´s absolutely hurtful after One World. I suppose it´s a gift for the fans, not something that is gonna add anything to the song or the album, but... - One World could be a perfect closer but I feel like Eno could have gotten more juice from there, but it´s ok, although not as good as Everything´s not lost, Death and all his friends, Coloratura or Amsterdam as closers. - I would have released Good Feelings as a separate single for the summer, and used that spot with "Man in the moon", for example. By the way, another example of foolish simplistic lyrics, and pretending that this song talks about wars and couples separated by conflicts is ridiculous. - 🌈 has divided the critics, because nobody understands (or knows) why would you do a mix of some completely different and unrelated songs and publish it as a song-song. Again, I suppose it´s a gift or a wink to fans, but I guess we would rather have those songs in their complete form. Anyway, it´s the exact opposite of the band that made My Universe, Good Feelings or High Power, so 3 points for our guys for not caring at all. - "Aeterna" should have stayed as a b-side, but it´s a decision I don´t care about. It´s not a deep and meaningful song, and the lyrics again are as simple as could be, but I love the dancing version of Coldplay. Reminds me a lot of U2´s live version for "I´ll go crazy if I don´t go crazy tonight".

I agree profoundly with this: But big emotions needn’t mean simple ones, and childlike wonder doesn’t have to mean regressing to the most banal possible sentiments. That’s when there are sentiments: The words heard most often on this album are “la la,” and around half the songs end in a wordless singalong. When Martin sings, “La-la-lay/That’s all, all I can say” on penultimate track “All My Love,” he’s practically daring someone to go, yes, Chris, we know!

I think that only on Good Feelings fits well, and specially on All My Love is really ironic the verse “lalalala it´s all I can say”…

“The Karate Kid” may be one of the greatest melodies and performances by Chris ever. I really love it. And “Man in the Moon” is huge, so sticky and at the same time with a strength h as song that I really missed lately in the band. But I can see why they ´re not on Moon Music, as they don ´t really fit in the lyric and musical path. Even less than “We Pray” or “Good Feelings”. And they ´ve got no lalalas, so they couldn ´t be in the album.

Nice and surprising move, well done. "The Karate Kid" is a very nice tune. "Angelsong" is adorable, "Man in the moon" makes me remember MX. "A wave" is what we were expecting, but I would have paid for it to have a longer duration.

Probably it´s already explained, but could anybody say which is each song (or snippet) at the end of each song on Moon Music? I have to say I don´t like the idea, and is the worst at the end of One World, which should be by all means the real ending of the album.

I guess you ´ll agree it was not very difficult to accomplish.

That means we gave ideas and helped with the concept of the song, maybe gave the synth that sounds at the beginning… But in my humble opinion, it would be a better song if they would had let it him decide 100% what to do with the song.

As I said before, I miss a little more of Jonny in the final part. I was not a big fan of the song when it debuted live, but Chris´voice is amazing here, and in my opinion with a little more melodic guitar it would get close to the podium of the band´s ballads.

Is it exactly the same as we heard last year live? I think so. Anyway, for me it´s kind of ASFOS, that type of uplifting dance songs, I love the lyrics here, as simple and repetitive as they are, but maybe this is the kind of song where this is allowed to happen. It makes me feel real good and should become inmovable from the setlist till this tour finishes.

The extra part should not have been there… The closing was great, one of the best ever in the group´s career, till then.

I agree. "One World" is so emotional and deep, although I don´t understand the last bit, it´s out of place for me. "All my love" is great, Chris´voice is so beautiful there, buuut, I miss a little more guitar from Jonny at the end, with that it would have been a huge song. As somebody said, they have never started an album with a song like "Moon Music", and it makes me believe again in Chris´potential for writing better lyrics. I didn´t hear the rainbow song yet.

I don ´t think it´s reasonable to say that an album with Feels like…, We Pray, Good Feelings or IAAM is not commercial. And the lyrics may be personal, but they are also ultraeasy-massive-direct, so I disagree, Moon Music can ´t be at all related to Ghost Stories or Everyday Life in that terms.
