2. Hey wussup, if she vouched for you, then you must be alright.
3. Thanks for sharing. I don't think i've experienced anything quite like that personally, but you don't have to to appreciate the healing powers (Coldplay's) music possesses. Those who have been following me around the Random Coldplay Thoughts thread understand i'm going through a breakup right now, so on a very small level, I can understand how uplifting it can be to find a song that just clicks with you so well. I can understand how/why the band in particular are sometimes reluctant to answer questions about what song X is about. I know what Politik is about and the circumstances in which it was written. But who am I to say what it should or should not be about. In fact, i'm not even sold that the band should either even though they penned it! The song means something slightly different to everyone, and that's the beauty of it. Thanks again for sharing and I hope you find your answers as well.
4. i know what you mean. i've only been to one concert so far during the viva era. ive got tickets to the show in toronto soon though. but yeah, i would trade them to have attended during the X&Y or rush of blood era instead.
5. Dang, I wish the ending to Swallowed in the Sea was more like the live version I really like the extra 8 bars of piano before he sings again.
6. update: today, the first tune on my playlist was Up&Up, and again, such great appreciation I have now for the song. Same idea where I liked the song before, but now even more so. Right at the first line Fixing up a car to drive in it again really struck a cord with me to pick myself up and get back at it. Edit: rewatching the and its speaking to me so much. I would love to just learn from Chris 'cause I feel like hes in a state where I want to be right now. another edit: thanks for the likes and whatnot as well, even that's picking me up a bit. one of you actually sent a PM to me as well, and it made me really happy. coldplayers are the best
7. yeah, and that subreddit doesnt get quite the traffic as coldplaying, but still, an influx of support for that user came out of nowhere! very cool to see, and i expect nothing less from coldplay fans. @getithom you gotta get your subreddit's twitter account to tweet this!
8. ^right, but hey, that's not to say there weren't other songs I've used when I felt like that. Sparks comes to mind personally.
9. wow, relatedly Mobile Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/Coldplay/comments/6pm8yc/amsterdam_just_saved_my_life/ who knows if its true or not, but damn.
10. so this might be an overshare, but I don't care. going through a breakup right now, and ive found a new appreciation for GS. I always thought highly of it anyways, but the songs have hit another level now. man, iunno what id do without this band

12. about a month left to wait for the TO shows!!

I'll paraphrase a comment I read about this tragedy: no doubt a lot of people listened to LP to deal with their own problems, so its ironic when the singer of that band had to leave this way. Apparently, also, I read he and Chris Cornell were good friends, so when he passed earlier this year, this couldn't have helped.... RIP
14. I dont doubt he said next tour. I also dont doubt he MEANT next leg. I really dont expect KEP songs to make it out of this era's setlist. Similar to how the other EPs in the past didn't make it out of theirs.
15. I agree with the gist of what you're trying to say. I mean, I dont think there's anything the band can do to shake this image. Hell, going a step further, I dont think there's a thing the band can do to please everyone period. They can remake AROBTTH and the public will say, oh look its emo coldplay again lelelelelel, or they can be the hip, cool band (like they are now), and the fans will say, oh look, theyve gone pop, they suck now lelelelelel. Can never win. That's not a dig at any group in particular, i'm just saying that's how it is, and its hard to shake off the first impression I guess. All that matters is how YOU feel about them, and try not to let what others think effect what you think.
16. NA and SA legs for sure. Doubtful for next era. Meh, they clearly weren't ready for the full version. C even said they weren't planning on doing it. Also leads me to my next point that even though the scene was very nice and romantic, C really butchered his own song there...kinda reminds me of when he played O live and its a repeating piano arpeggio and takes a lot of effort/concentration to play it over and over and sing it well, lol.
17. ahh, here we are. this is one of my more favourite posts that I made because of its shocking accuracy https://coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/lp7-a-head-full-of-dreams.99898/page-8#post-5675287 to sum, i correctly predicted the timing of the release of AHFOD within a month. I also theorized that eras generally last 3 years (1 or 2 years for touring, the rest for studio recording). From that, I did some math and averaging of numbers and settled on 16 months between the last tour date to the next album release. The last tour date appears to be mid nov, and im not sure if thats set in stone. seems a bit weird to have come off the NA leg to the Latin America leg of only 5 shows in 3 cities...However, if you count the 16 months from that, you're looking at Spring 2019.
18. somewhat related, and i look forward to putting this in an LP8 Facts Thread, at the end of the Paris show just now, apparently Chris said they'd go away for 2 years and come back some day. So, so much of the long hiatus theory.
19. Also voting for option 2 And holy crap, this is about a month away!
20. hey, thanks! I didn't think anyone would agree with my rankings. Everyone seems to love A L I E N S, and though I try, I can't seem to love it like everyone else.
21. ^ No offence, but it's probably junk. An LP8 thread won't have anything of substance until at least after the last gig.
22. I've enjoyed this video a bit more than usual, especially considering none of the guys are in it.
23. ^dat sherlocking
24. watch this space then I guess http://coldplay.com/song/miracles-someone-special-coldplay-big-sean/
