^ to me, it sounds a bit too studio like for me to think its live. The Grammy performance of Viva la Vida comes to mind. I tried to find a good stream, but could not. But right at the end with the oohs, I really doubt the entire band are doing that.

It was my understanding that they play some background vocals (the end of Viva la Vida, the end of Fix You, etc), but Chris's vocals were always live. And this is the only instance I know where Chris's voice was not live.

But why is it ridiculous? I'm hearing over and over again how this group is so dumb, and they shoulda done this, and that. Seriously? They aren't gonna know to knife a walker in the head the first time. They're not gonna go from season 2 level Beth to season 5 level Michonne just like that. Was Rick even like that? No he wasn't. If it was season 1 Rick, fresh out a coma, on that ship passing by that group of survivors on the water, he would have wanted to save them too. I think you gotta watch this show for what it is: a spinoff of a much more established show. It's meant to supplement and not replace TWD.

No, I agree 100%. Clocks is too iconic to cut. But then again, with this Clocks-lipsyncing fiasco.... True, but sometimes the requests they play seem a bit half-assed to me; skipping verses, and forgetting lyrics...iunno....

c'mon now, I thought we were done with this breakup stuff. We do this every era....I'm join the group of ppl who do think they should take a break after this though; for creative reasons, and for Chris's health. But hopefully they stop by Toronto a few times before they take a break!

^ ditto. I dont want to believe it, but the evidence speaks for itself. In the many, many, MANY live versions that we've all heard, we know that chris has at least a little bit of variation between each show. But with these videos that OP posted, they all sound exactly the same. Disappointing yes, but now i'm more concerned about Chris and his vocal health. He's not hitting Hymn for the Weekend well. He's not hitting Army of One well. He seems gassed in all the shows i've seen him in lately. And now this....Well, he has a month off of tour to reevaluate, and perhaps readjust his live shows so they aren't too taxing on him.

I never made it a secret that I preferred the old stuff. It's what made me a fan to begin with. But what keeps me away from labeling myself an oldplayer is my acceptance of the new stuff as well. That, and the negative association (deserved or not) of that title. I mean, yeah, if I had to choose, I would join team oldplaying over newplaying. But the definition of oldplaying has changed (for the worse) imo from a group that prefers the old material to a group that hates the new. I feel this does not accurately define who I am as a fan. So instead of doing so, i'll simply be a coldplayer.
