  1. Anyone a fan of this fine Australian band? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWlIEBPKl7M]YouTube- The Middle East - Blood (HQ Video)[/ame] Just got hold of The Recordings of the Middle East. I can say that it's one of my new favorite bands. I think if you're a fan of Grizzly Bear, The Antlers, etc., you will fall in love with Middle East. Plus, it sometimes reminds me of Sigur Ros...especially in "Pig Food" and "Tsietsi".. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM__A86u1GA]YouTube- The Middle East - Tsietsi[/ame]

  3. Not being too technical about it, I would just like to know how Coldplaying members view computer security nowadays. I believe all of us at one point has been victimized by malware (viruses, worms, trojans, etc.), which is never a good experience. Reading tech forums I found out that it is better to prevent malware from entering the system, than finding how to remove it. So basically, my computer set-up in inexpensive (read: free) and involves: 1. anti-virus/anti-malware with resident (realtime scanner) - Avast (free) (on-demand) - Malwarebytes (free) 2. outbound firewall (with defense+ hips - host intrusion prevention system) - Comodo (free) 3. more secure browser - Mozilla Firefox I also download and install Windows patches whenever available. Of couse, this concern specially pertain to Windows users, as I've read that Mac and Linux (and derivatives) user are not that susceptible to malware and other exploits. I would be interested to know your thoughts on this.
  4. i've now upgraded to windows 7 from vista. so far so good. very smooth.
  5. Hi Rick, did you check for viruses/malware? The computer could become slow when it has lots of processes running in the background. Might as well check the running processes on the windows task bar (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC).
  6. Are both of the antiviruses' real-time shield enabled at the same time? If they are, they might be in conflict with each other. Uninstall one (I suggest the Symantec) and run Avast again. You could try also malwarebytes anti-malware.
  7. I'm curious...Do guys here using Vista have downloaded the updates? (service packs, etc.). I have recently bought a laptop which has Vista pre-installed. I remembered hating it the moment I bought the unit (really slow, installed crapware, frequent freezes, etc.). However when I updated Vista and uninstalled all the crapware that came with the laptop, the problems were gone.
  8. amazing shots!
  9. yeah...i think it's because i still have lot to learn about it. right now, i'm still learning the basics (conjugation, etc.). i'm a bit familiar with the alphabet already and can read. i'm still learning how to construct sentences though. and i only know a few words in Russian. Still have to work on the vocabulary. thanks.

  20. Just watched all the episodes of the latest season (8th) of CSI:Miami and I can say that I really love this show. Of course, I also love the original and CSI:NY, but Miami is my favorite among the three. I like almost all of the characters there, except Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo), he's such a prick. Eric Delko is my favorite among them because he likes to get his hands dirty. He does everything, dive in the swamp, dive in the sea, etc. Horatio provides the comedic relief (!). Calleigh is so smart and cares so much about Eric. Alex is also caring (like a mother), and now, with the addition of Eddie Cibrian (Jesse Cardoza), I think I'm gonna stick around to watch the entire season. I like his character, an all around good guy. Aside from his looks and occasional shirtless scenes , his presence just makes this exciting to watch. Now that Eric will be leaving, it's a great relief that Jesse will be there to keep the show interesting. What do you guys think of this new character Jesse?
