  1. Oo, looks cool alyssa! Tee-hee, I see your reflection in the glass. What an excellent price for such a snazzy looking frame......might have to get me one of those! :sneaky:
  2. Sufjan Stevens - Romulus
  3. First photo I've seen of you methinks! Always nice to put a face to a name. And aw, so cute, you are!! :nice: :nice: (err, hello Yoda?). Annnyway! What a great environment to be educated in - exposed to so many different backgrounds. And hey, those crisp, white shirts are quite smart looking... What is the most widely spoken language in png? ('sides English) I'm guessing there are hundreds of indigenous languages. Hold on, wikipedia here I come.....*whoosh* Goodness, must have been so difficult to move away from there after 18 years. :stunned: At least it's close enough to Australia for visits, yeah? Edit: Later Kath, my frenger. I'm off for the night too. Can't wait to work on the comic! Woo.
  4. Ohhh, I didn't know you grew up there! Tell us more about it. And yeah yeah! Post the photos ("of the concerts you've been in"....? Do you perform?).
  5. Under the Influence of Giants
  6. ^ That sounds similar to this event. Aren't they the best? It's so wonderful to see such a diverse crowd all together, having fun. And hey, I'm all for anything that promotes acceptance and cultural appreciation! But what these cultural fairs really do exemplify is the fact that we are all so similar in more ways than we are different...:nice: Love. And....forgive my ignorance :P, but what's png? (obviously not the .png file-type extension :laugh4:)

^ and you know what I think of yours....10!! (I think I've said that a couple times now :P)
  8. Hurrah for our dear Moms!! Glad the two of you had a good day with your families. Everyday should be Mothers Day though - whatever would we do without them? Tomorrow there's a international cultural fair on campus with food, music, dance and plenty of fun...so Mom and I are going to spend the afternoon at that. Can't wait! :nice:
  9. Yndi Halda - Dash And Blast
  10. ^ :laugh4: Yeah, exactly what she said.
  11. The US celebrates Mothers day on the second Sunday of May. :nice: I  my Mommy!
  12. :P Or we're all in the past.....:uhoh:
  13. hehe how come I always miss out on all the fun? Count me in! So, it's not like a real fan club.....but can we be your groupies? Or better yet, your fangirls? :sneaky: How's your weekend going? Do you guys celebrate Mothers day tomorrow in Australia? (edit: *smacks head* stupidness. Tomorrow for me is your today...always hard to wrap my mind around the bloody huge time difference between US West coast and Australia)
  14. heh what movie was it for? Just wondering, are they often in the public spotlight in Denmark? I know they are popular over there, but are they mainstream? Lana, check out the frenger comic myspace page - that will explain everything (well almost everything) And hey, where have you been?? :P Kekita, I'd never have guessed that's Aishwarya Rai. Doesn't look like her much. Speaking of Indian film actresses and such, I saw The Namesake tonight - the new film by Mira Nair (and based on the book of the same title by Jhumpa Lahiri). It's a beautiful film about the "immigrant experience" and of culture clash. Being first generation Indian born and living in America, I could certainly relate to aspects of it. Wonderful film. Highly recommended. /end OT. I swear. Edit: Bah-ha! This must be what Lime was talking about... :nice:

  19. Woah, Josh has a fanclub? Can I join? :P :nice:
  20. Oh, what a shame. I hope that things work out for the best.
  21. Tabasco cause mixed with soy sauce mixed with coke mixed with milk mixed with other random things in my kitchen. When I was a kid, my friends and I, when we got together for slumber parties, would mix VILE concoctions and dare each other to drink them. :sick2: DIS-GUST-ING. What the hell were we thinking?? Same question :)
  22. Mew. :D Elliott Smith or Jeff Buckley?
  23. Oh please do call me by my name! I prefer it. lunar1126 doesn't exactly roll off the tongue (but goodness, I've used that online nick for 10+ years - no way am I changing it now) Anyhoooo, yes! I'm really excited about us working on a frenger comic together. We can brainstorm via msn msger to come up with a crafty dialog and all that. :D T'will be a masterpiece. Who's that in your avi, kekita? She has the most piercing eyes. :stunned: @ Lime ;) - Mew first, studies second. No wait, that's all wrong. Or is it? :sneaky: @ Kathy - Traveling amazing race style might be just too much for me to handle. lol I think I'd take a slightly more leisurely pace. The million bucks at the end would be kinda nice though! And ooo, you're going to France! Whereabouts? (And just so this thread doesn't get totally OT....:P) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6z7gDupM_U
  24. Been listening to this song on repeat this week - and this one song is enough for me to say that I'm a Death Cab fan. It's absolutely beautiful. The subject of the song seems to be obvious to me: suicide ("If there's no one beside you / When your soul embarks"). It's about an extremely deep love that transcends the boundaries of flesh and blood existence. V. touching - always gives me teary eyes and a big lump in my throat.
