  2. Haha meinst du England? :D
  3. Boring matches indeed, but the second half of South Africa - Mexico wasn't that bad. I felt a bit sorry for the host nation. These vuvuzelas are getting on my nerves though! :D Bad foul...
  4. I've never been there, but from what I read on other pages this youth hostel is a good choice. It's also located in the district of Prenzlauer Berg which is one of the more interesting quarters with heaps of cafés, bars and pubs at Kastanienallee. The tube station "Senefelder Platz" which belongs to the U2 line is also only 5 minutes by foot. :)
  5. I think the World Cup comes 4 years too early for the very young German squad so I don't really have a good feeling this time! :wacky: But on the other hand I had a similar opinion in 2002, 2006 and 2008. :D Hopefully New Zealand will be successful, too. ;) I like underdogs!
  6. Sounds good! Very sad that you will arrive in Berlin just after the football World Cup ended so you definitely miss a big party! :D I've once been to Luton airport. There's a busline between Luton Airport and some places in London City. http://www.greenline.co.uk/greenlinedefault.aspx It's been my experience that London traffic can be harsh at certain times of the day and the bus which runs back to the airport is often overcrowded so it doesn't stop at all bus stations. I nearly missed my flight to Germany because of that. But if you enter the bus at the very first bus station (should be Victoria Station or Marble Arch if I remember it correctly) then you'll be on the safe side! ;)
  7. Catchy little song written by a band from Auckland! :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdO85Qf4Poc]YouTube- The Naked And Famous - Young Blood[/ame]
  8. The Eurodance last night was funny! :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W3tgPzuZy8]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRzisOw6wGk&feature=related[/ame]
  9. I like your country! :nice: Hehe I always thought the same about my country and the only country which usually votes for us is Austria, but they don't participate anymore.
  10. You should send one of your amazing bands to the eurovision next year, then you will be the winner for sure! But I bet nobody really wants to participate! :laugh3:
  11. Ah thanks for the explanation! I woke up and started to watch exactly when Lena performed her song and I was confused why they let Spain to sing a second time at the end of all songs. Oh yeah Moldovia or Ukraine gave 12 points to Belarus at the end. It's nothing about politics! Poor UK! :\ The song I really missed was the Swedish one which didn't reach the final. It's scandalous that she didn't get enough votes last Thursday...
  12. Lol never ever thought this would happen! Well done Lena! :D Stefan Raab is the best! Eurovision 2011 in Berlin/Hamburg/Gelsenkirchen eh?! :P
  13. Yeah man, Auckland simply rules!:D
  14. I agree, Ballack didn't play a good season at Chelsea so he's not as good as the media always says. However, he's still important as a leader for all the young players. Without him, Träsch, Rolfes, Adler, now without Müller possible as well, I don't really see Germany winning the cup. It's probably one of the most youngest teams of the tournament if not the youngest. So maybe we have good chances in 2014 then. ;) We're always good in tournaments though. I keep my fingers crossed for Germany and New Zealand! :)
  15. My favourite this year is Sweden! :D God, I LOVE Swedish girls! She's so cute! :nice: :wacky: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPpqMZbMLhE]YouTube- Sweden Eurovision 2010 Anna Bergendahl - This Is My Life[/ame]
  16. YES Bayern lost! Sadly the night was long so I overslept and missed the complete match which started at 6.45am here. :D
  17. The witch-hunt on Boateng begins! I plead for Frings instead of Ballack now! :D
  18. I recommend Berlin! :nice: The night-life is probably one of the best if not the best you can find in Germany, the costs of living are very cheap compared to other cities and since the last twenty years everything has changed a lot. Especially the Eastern districts like Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain are great when it comes to nice food and good pubs/cafés (Simon-Dach-Straße). You definately have to visit Prague (Czech Republic) either. The Old Town is simply astonishing. Not to forget the Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) which is very nice, too. There are good train connections between Berlin, Prague and Budapest by the way. Some of my friends also admire Budapest, but I've never been to Hungary sadly. Some other nice places: London, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Vienna... Have fun! :)
  19. I wish this would be true! :laugh3: Anyway, Tom Buhrow, who's the news presenter of the ARD network, published his point of view in the NY Times this week and it somehow reflects my feelings in regard to the fall of the euro (and Europe in general) right now as well... http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/28/opinion/28iht-edbuhrow.html
  20. Ich mag NRW! :nice:
  21. Habt ihr auch alle fein Eishockey geguckt? :D Deutschland - USA 2:1  77.803 Zuschauer, neuer Weltrekord! Muss ne tolle Stimmung gewesen sein in Gelsenkirchen! :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrW7SvGiX_4]YouTube- Eishockey WM 2010 - Deutschland vs. USA 2-1 (IIHF Weltrekordspiel)[/ame]
  22. Also damals von meiner Ausbildung weiß ich noch, dass es eine Fährverbindung von Harwich nach Hoek van Holland in den Niederlanden gibt. Glaub Stenaline betreibt diese Linie. Vielleicht hilft dir das ja weiter...
  23. Why that? It's not that bad I think! :P What NZ bands do you usually listen to? Oh I absolutely adore your country! Last weekend I actually flew to your city Wellington to spend a weekend there. Nice city and the weather has been fantastic, too. I moved into a NZ family this week to get better language skills and to find out more about NZ life. The parents are emigrants from England and Scotland and that's why I have to keep my finger's crossed for West Ham United from now on lol. Furthermore I have two weeks off and I'm about to fly to Christchurch tomorrow in order to discover the South Island! Should be fun! Enjoy the weekend! Cheers man! :D
  24. Yeah that's pretty sad! :( Another song which is quite popular on Channel 4 and Juice... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AkqOvCka4w]YouTube- Dukes - Vampires[/ame] :D
  25. I don't really like this song to be honest, but I heard that she broke a record entering the top 5 of the German single charts with 3 (!) songs last week. :shocked2: Well done Stefan Raab! :D
