I finally listened to the album again and as much as I liked it at first listen it really hit me this time and I absolutely love it, especially with A Hopeful Transmission as intro :dazzled:

The official Italian charts have just been published, and MX is at no. 1 (no idea how many copies were sold), Paradise is at no.7 in the singles (7th week in the top 10). Also Viva la Vida is at no. 29, X&Y at no. 37, Parachutes at no. 38 and A Rush of Blood at no. 39, 5 albums in the top 40 :wacky:

Yes, was kind of disappointed with the first listen, so I want to wait a bit before listening to it again, don't wanna hear it on repeat trying to convince myself that I have to like it.

uh, I listened to all the latest interviews with him and Will and I've never heard him so chatty before :uhoh: I don't think he's against the direction they've taken as when I met him back in March he seemed to be super excited about how the album recording was going :shrug: As for the the basslines, I have listened to MX just once and I didn't pay too much attention, but talking about tracks I had already heard, as the other have said Major Minus' bassline is pretty recognisable, and I really like ETIAW's one as well.

That is only iTunes, but you need to count also physical copies and other digital outlets, and many official charts are not out yet.

It was for Real Radio Scotland yesterday evening, at the same time as the gig in Paris, I couldn't record it though and it's not available on the radio website, sorry.

By the way, I listened to an interview with Will and Guy yesterday and Will said they scrapped not one but two videos, before making this in a hurry.

I didn't mentioned it, I was just answering a post who basically said they're only looking for success in terms of music sales (comparing them with how much Lady Gaga and co. sell), which automatically mean money. For me being successfull is not just a matter of how much you sell.

So you're saying they're deliberately being more "pop" just because they want to sell, like, they plan to make that sort of music to be commercially succesfull. You know, once Chris said they wanted to get better not bigger, he probably changed his mind then. I'm probably just naive in thinking that an artist is composing and playing music because they feel an inspiration, not because they're driven by the money and sell, sell, sell.

I tried recording and it would have surprisingly worked, too bad the stream is absolutely crap, and I got bored about the setlist and the crowd on Yellow and stopped watching it

I would have gladly prevented my ears from listening to this...song. No I mean, if I wanted to hear something like that I would have searched for it in a Rihanna album, so the fact that I don't have any Rihanna album means I don't like this kind of song and wished they never put it on the album. I don't know..it sounded just awuful for me :bigcry:

Yeah we were a LOT less for Viva, but with the Unstaged gig and the the kind of promotion they're doing so far I'm not surprised
