Gave it a 4, just because I love the base of the song and to me it could have been much much better without this overcrowding of instruments and sounds, I'm sure I would have liked it a lot if it were more stripped down. As it is now I find it pretty average and on par with everything's on the radios these days, which is not a compliment.

Just fyi, they're supposed to play a prime time tv show in Italy on December 5th, according to the tv show host (who is quite famous and appreciated here, so it's a good promotion for them, not that they needed it here)..not sure the date is 100% true as I still don't know whether the show is live or pre-recorded. If it ends up being live I guess it would clash with this supposed date

This amuses me since they cost as much as here in Italy (and that's why a lot of people buy them online from other EU or UK shops such as play.com) but we never ever dream to have a bonus track..maybe we should get talking with EMI Italy :dozey:

I know it doesn't deal with The Pierces, but I don't feel like creating another thread just for this..maybe we can rename this to include all of Guy's production works :shrug: Anyway, found out he's producing an album for Sam Oatts, who is (according to his blog) a freelance musician in the NYC metropolitan area. Currently playing on Broadway (trumpet), arranging and producing for rock bands, playing bass with rock bands and songwriters, and teaching the musical craft. This is what he wrote back at the beginning of June (source) So he's the third production project for Guy after The Pierces and Blood Red Rose/James Levy (but I don't have any idea at what point this last project is :P).

I'm kind of miffed too after reading David Holmes ideas about the promotion, I don't really like them, but I'm talking as a long time fan, if I had to talk as someone who wants to sell they're probably going the right direction, though being bigger doesn't necessarily mean being better, which is what they want to, at least according to some interviews. Sometimes I really don't understand which way they want to follow :shrug: All I know is that I'm not particularly excited about the album right now, all this promotional dragging doesn't do the trick to me, it's having the opposite reaction :\
