  11. Sorry it's taken so long to get the videos of the soundcheck posted. I have about 50 minutes of video all together with most of it being from the soundcheck. I tried very hard not to tape during the actual show performance because I knew I was recording the show at home and I really wanted to just experience the moment. I like others feel so lucky to have been so close to the band. It's not often that a group of diehard fans gets the opportunity to listen and watch a 45 minute soundcheck up close and be allowed to record the event on video. I know others have given excellent minute by minute accounts of the morning but I just want to mention a couple of personal highlights. - Chris telling the paps that he realizes that they don't have the best relationship but that he was glad they were there (paraphrasing) - The ability to see them close enough to see their facial expressions - Chris looked so young clean shaven - Getting to see Phil the 5th member - Enjoying watching all of the coldplaying.com members having the time of their lives Thanks again Ian... your gift meant the world!!! 12. Well I just made it back to DC from NYC. What a morning. Thanks again Ian for the chance of a lifetime. The soundcheck was just amazing. I have about 45 minutes of video of the soundcheck that I hope to get up on the net tomorrow. The quality is pretty good and it's a chance to really see the guys as themselves. Theres even a chance to see Phil a few times on stage. Until then!!!
  13. I just wanted to say a public thank you to Ian for giving my husband and I an opportunity to go to NYC and see the show. I have been a big fan of Coldplay and Coldplaying.com for a very long time. So much so that I organized a farewell message of thanks and love to the band on the night of their last US Twisted Logic Tour show in Philly back in 2006. I didn't do it alone, we had a great group of Coldplay fans from across the US and Canada come together as the USA Loves Coldplay sign gang. After 12,000+ signs I hope they felt the love. Tomorrow will be special as my husband and I go to honor our daughter who loved Coldplay. Ring of Fire was the very first song she ever sang along to on her own. I was so proud. I had promised Ryan that I would take her to see CP the next time they toured the states but unfortunately she fell ill last summer and passed away in a matter of days. We feel so lucky to be able to go to NYC and share the experience with our daughter. Her spirit will be with us...who knows she probably has the best seat in the house for all of the Coldplay shows. I can't wait to see my fellow Coldplaying.com friends. Thanks again Ian...your the best. I owe you a few banners. Julie
  14. Chris Martin Eats Beans at the MTV Movie Awards Movieawards.mtv.com Because of the still-smoldering fires on the Universal Studios lot, most — and by most, I mean all — of the restaurants surrounding the Gibson Amphitheatre are closed. Well, closed except for the 30 minutes when they were all open, which is when I managed to score some sushi, which is also when Chris Martin enters into this. See, while I was crushing some California rolls, the restaurant decided to shut off food service again. Minutes later, I see a rather tall fellow in aviator shades waving frantically at me from across the promenade. (That sentence reads particularly Victorian for whatever reason.) Startled, I realize it’s none other than Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, whom I chatted with yesterday during rehearsals. Turns out, he was starving, and was having no luck finding an open restaurant. Dazed, he saw me and wandered over. “Can I please have some of your beans?” he pleaded, pointing at my edamame (the photo above captures him mid-plea). Of course, I gave him some, while my lunch buddies — not to mention a gathering throng of gawkers — looked on in awe. Sated, he thanked me and wandered back into the backstage area. And I wrote this blog entry about how I had a sushi lunch with Chris Martin. The MTV Movie Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, with MTV News’ “Coming Attractions” preshow kicking the evening off at 7:30 p.m. ET! Meanwhile, stay tuned to the MTV Movies Blog and MovieAwards.MTV.com.
  15. Coldplay has been a staple in our house for several years. Many of you may remember our "USA Loves Coldplay" sign campaign during the last US Twisted Logic show in Philadelphia last year. My three-year-old daughter was a big fan. Tragically she died this week from Acute Liver Failure and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The two illnesses took her in a matter of days. It happened so suddenly we are still walking around in complete shock. We are absolutely devasted. She was our world. My husband quickly put together this tribute video to show everyone how special she was and I thought I would share it with you. Even in our darkest hour we have found comfort through the music of Coldplay. You can view the video at http://www.zaniac.net/RyansTribute.htm If you would like to read about her story please visit: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ryanmarie My husband and I both work in television and as a result have always done our best to cronicle Ryan's life. You may also visit a website that we created and updated throughout her life. http://www.zaniac.net Please keep Ryan in your thoughts...she was a one of a kind and I had promised her that I was going to take her to see a Coldplay show on their next tour. Now she will be able to look down from heaven and experience them all.
  16. I'm wearing a local crew shirt from the 2003 Rush of Blood to the Head Tour. I purchased it cheap off of ebay. The crew shirts are unique and quite different from the shirts they sell on tour.
  17. Hello Everyone, I've created several graphics for the new coldplaying dot com banner but I can not find the required Albertus font anywhere for free...can anyone point me in the right direction or maybe email me the font. I would be very appreciative.
  18. If you could perform anywhere in the world....what would be the ultimate Coldplay concert venue?

  21. I've just returned from seeing Bauhaus and Nine Inch Nails and the show reaffirmed my idea that a collaboration between Coldplay and Trent Reznor as producer could be amazing. I would love to hear the guys fold in some of that edginess and raw sound they had with the first two albums along with Trent's unbelievable driving electronic grooves. Just a thought...I know that whatever they have planned it's going to blow us away!!!
  22. There should be a "function" button or menu button that will take you to an option for finalizing. Try checking in your manual or if you no longer have your manual you can often find information for that model on the web.
  23. It sounds like your DVD has not been "finalized". If DVDs have not been finalized they often will only play on the recorder that recorded the content.
  24. I got one for my birthday and it's fun as hell. They are all the same. I think they run about $89 US. I do an ebow version of Daylight that's sounds pretty cool. Jbarry's husband
  25. Rob, Amazing shots...some of the best of the tour. Would it be possible to post the following pictures in this thread for the individuals who printed and passed out the signs. Thanks. P1090475 P1090478 P1090548 P1090549 P1090557 P1090561
