Liam Gallagher still hates Coldplay...or their fans
Yeah, well, at least Coldplay haven't been making the same music over and over again for the duration of their career. Unlike some bands I could mention. No disrespect to Oasis fans by the way, I just think the band are shit and they have been stuck in a creative rut since their second album. That, and Liam is a fucking tosser who can't sing.

GRAMMATICS
Well worth a listen. Epic band. They're really consistent too, there's not a single song of theirs I don't like. I got a sampler of the album yesterday, and it is sounding fantastic, particularly Inkjet Lakes and the new version of Shadow Committee. Can't wait for the real thing, out early next year. I think I should mention that I am utterly obsessed with this band. :D

Possible places for Coldplay to go now
Where they want to. They know that they can't go back to where they were pre-Viva, so they can develop their current sound further, or go off in an experimental, yet accessible direction - yes, it can be done, as shown by Rainy Day, 42 and Yes. Personally, I'd love it if the next album was a bit on the rockier side, along the lines of the awesome epicness of Glass Of Water. More of that please.

New song in aid of (RED)WIRE?
Is this gonna be Redwire only? Separate digital downloads would be nice. I don't want to sound stingy (going to charity after all), but €5 a month is a bit steep, especially as it all adds up. Anyways, MORE NEW STUFF!!! :D

Albums of the Year: 2008
I can understand how you haven't heard of ¡Forward, Russia!, but WE ARE SCIENTISTS!? :o They're fairly well known in the U.S., I think. MySpace links for each: http://www.myspace.com/forwardrussia (unfortunately on hiatus, as I mentioned in my last post :() http://www.myspace.com/wearescientists

AMAZING SONG!
Some of Yes (intro, bit after first chorus), the last part of Death And All His Friends, and the chorus and solo in Glass Of Water are in 7/4, and the songs are made infinitely more epic because of this. More odd time signatures please.

Albums of the Year: 2008
Top Ten Albums Of 2008: 01. ¡Forward, Russia! - Life Processes* 02. Snow Patrol - A Hundred Million Suns 03. Bloc Party - Intimacy 04. The Corrections - Repeat After Me 05. TV On The Radio - Dear Science 06. Coldplay - Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends 07. Wolf Parade - At Mount Zoomer 08. We Are Scientists - Brain Thrust Mastery 09. Los Campesinos! - We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed 10. Sigur Rós - Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust *I thought about Life Processes, then I thought about ¡Forward, Russia!'s hiatus. Then I remembered how I felt when I first heard it. No other album this year had the impact that Life Processes did, and it is still there nine months later. That really does say something.

Sigur Rós
Holy shit, the new album is incredible. I always knew it was good, but not this good. Perfect late night listening, joyous and heartbreaking at the same time. Ára bátur has to be one of the most moving pieces of music I have ever heard. I have even grown to appreciate the first part of Festival! You've gotta love made-up languages. That vocal melody is awesome. Simply awesome. And then when that hook comes in... Stunning album. I need to start listening to it more.

'Lovers In Japan' and 'LIT2' as singles extracted from the EP?
Glass Of Water AS WELL!? Woah, singles overload.
