  1. While we're on the subject, I think that MTV's "Give Me a Famous Face!" or whatever is some of the most sickening television that's ever existed.

  7. yeah, see? you're doing the same thing to those poor yukon-dwellers. :P anyway, I think that if we keep the "canada" name, we can at least still be called "states."
  8. vods. that's how i like to refer to vodka for some reason.
  9. yeah, being by yourself is definitely better than messing around with a guy that has a girlfriend.
  10. you should just yell until a roommate or neighbor comes to your aid.
  11. gimme the beer. or another rum'n'coke. actually i think i'll help myself to one of the latter.
  12. Yeah, my advice is to tell him to fuck off if he wants something with you without breaking up with his girlfriend.
  13. :embarrased: Tom apologizes. And actually, it does make sense that you'd think I was older... I think I've always been a little old for my age. See if THAT makes sense! But yeah. I'll be 21 soon enough. :P
  14. HAHAHA!!!!! wow that's awesome.
  15. Me too. Then I could be Canadian without having to move.
  16. haha what the hell? how old did you think I was? (on a related note, I noticed with some surprise recently that YOU are also 20, but I just assumed I missed a birthday)
  17. Squirrel Hill? No. The only neighborhood I can think of off the top of my head in Pittsburgh is Oakland, because I have a couple friends that live there. Believe it or not I've only ever been to Pittsburgh twice. It may be in the same state, but it's still a good drive to get there. :P Then again, you're from Ontario, so I'm sure you understand what that's like.
  18. ummm.... yeah. for another... 48 days.
  19. hahaha!! what do cheese sandwiches have to do with anything?
  20. I think "Holland" followed by "Detroit, Lift Up Your Weary Head!" from "Michigan" is probably my favorite 11 minutes of music in the world right now. :D His live show... frankly, it needs some work. I think the problem is that he just hasn't yet put together a band that's capable of playing the intricate parts that he puts on his records. The Seven Swans stuff sounded better than the Michigan stuff, though, probably because it isn't as intricate and complex. He didn't really play anything else other than stuff from those two albums, other than the pointless cover of "The Star Spangled Banner" and the "Fifty States" song. There were some truly gorgeous moments though... "The Dress Looks Nice on You" and "Flint" are beauuuuuutiful live.
  21. I don't remember if there's ever been a Sufjan thread before... so here's one now. I just saw him live on Thursday, and it has really rekindled my love with Greetings From Michigan... seriously one of my favorite albums ever. So... let's all now discuss the brilliance of Sufjan.
  22. HAHA!!! I remember Tiffany. A music video at a mall is probably the pinnacle of all boring whitebread suburban hell.
