  1. Bangs are almost always a bad idea. They don't look particularly good on the vast majority of people, and the people who can make it work all look the same. That's my take anyway.
  2. Mine won't change colors for some reason. Plus it says I'm 35. And I have no idea what this "bling" is all about.
  3. In case you haven't noticed, I happen to live in Philadelphia. And in case you haven't noticed (if you either live outside of the United States or live under a rock), our beloved Eagles have FINALLY made it to the Super Bowl. It only took four times. HALLELUJAH! Anyway, I couldn't possibly be more excited about a sporting event. This has been the longest week of my life, I think. So let's hear it. Everybody say it with me: E A G L E S EAGLES!!!!!
  4. I CERTAINLY AM NOT IN DENIAL! STOP SAYING THAT I AM BECAUSE I'M NOT! LALALALALALALALA all right sorry about that that was stupid.
  5. I have a friend who won't stop talking about the Zutons, but I have yet to listen to them... he writes for the school paper and spent almost an entire column one time complaining about the horrible injustice that they should be opening up for Muse instead of the other way around.
  6. awww this thread is reminding me of why I used to spend so much time here. (don't ask  )
  7. "Sorry 2004" by Ruben Studdard. What in the hell?
  8. Oh my God. Oasis have as many votes as Hendrix, Sinatra, and the Beach Boys combined. That's the most depressing damn thing I've seen all day.
  9. Can that really be true? I don't think I've ever been more bored by a movie.
  10. It certainly isn't. That's all I want too. :D
  11. Most kids go through a metal phase somewhere between ages 13-16. Mine lasted about four months when I was 14. It's a phase you outgrow, though. If you don't outgrow it (say, if you're James Hetfield still trying to make metal in your 40's) then... somebody should tell you that alcoholism and drug addiction stunt your emotional growth. That's the only explanation I can think of, anyway. Man, I certainly am not above a tasteless joke.
  12. Yeah, actually the reason I started this thread was so that everybody could have one place to come and talk about how cool I am.
  13. Now THAT is a fan.
  14. Every time I see the name Topher Grace I want to call him "Gopher Trace." That's a much cooler name if you ask me. The Killers are about 20 years late to the music scene.
  15. I just find it funny that a band that brought us an album called "Dookie" is now trying to lecture us on politics.
  16. My mom loves Christ Botti. I find him rather uninteresting myself.
  17. A month later, here are my Top 10: 1. Brian Wilson - Smile - Quite literally one of the best albums ever recorded. The old guy finally finishes his true masterpiece. We can both die happy now. 2. Bjork - Medulla - Time and time again, Bjork proves herself to be one of the most creative songwriters and producers in the world. Who else could make an a capella album that gets classified as "electronic?" 3. Air - Talkie Walkie - Soooothing. 4. Liars - They Were Wrong So We Drowned - Beauty from chaos. 5. Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans - Few people can make me tolerate songs about Jesus like Sufjan can. 6. Stereolab - Margerine Eclipse - Ten albums and these guys have barely lost a step. 7. Zero 7 - When it Falls - By far the sexiest album of 2004. 8. Cyann and Ben - Happy Like an Autumn Tree - Not an essential addition to the genre of psychedelic pop, but damn good nonetheless. 9. The Beta Band - Heroes to Zeroes - I, for one, will be sad to see these guys break up. 10. Fly Pan Am - N'Ecoutez Pas - Experimental in the truest sense of the word. Eleven instrumental tracks ranging from free form rhythm-less tones to concentrated rugged rock tunes, and more. Good stuff. Also good: Elliott Smith - From a Basement on the Hill Fragile State - Voices From the Dust Bowl Wilco - A Ghost is Born The Polyphonic Spree - Together We're Heavy Mum - Summer Make Good Espers - Espers
  18. To have a hat with my picture on it.
  19. Dr. Peed perscribes dropping something large and heavy on your toe, which will surely make you momentarily forget that your throat is sore. I can never remember the term for that. Something with the word "gateway" in it or something.
  20. Howdy. :wideeyed:
  21. My surprise of the year is Sufjan Stevens' Seven Swans. I'm a relative newcomer to Sufjan's music, and when I bought Seven Swans on the recommendation of a friend I wasn't really expecting to like it too much, based on what I'd read about it. But I ended up loving it and buying the rest of his records (Michigan's my favorite though). :D
  22. I used to be really into them. I actually think the Battle of Los Angeles is their best album, which I know is contrary to how most other fans feel. I think I like it more because it's more focused than their other two albums (three if you count the covers album).
