Once a local paper here ran a story listing all the different places around the city where there have been mob hits over the years. The number of killings was slightly alarming, as was the listing of some places that were pretty close to where I live. :uhoh2:
  4. :builder: Me too. :policeman: :indianchief: Wait, was there a construction worker in the Village People?
  5. hmm... if I didn't know any better I'd say that looks like it spells "tripod" instead of "ash." :smartass2:
  6. You got it.

My conspiracy theory is that the "bicycle repair shop" around the corner from me is actually a front for the mob.
  8. I am a magician. :vanish:
  9. That's one thing I never had any trouble with, so I can't really help you there. Melodies and harmonies have always just kind of presented themselves in my head. But yeah, the other advice is good no matter what you're trying to do. "If at first you don't succeed..." ;)
  10. All right, I just got back from seeing the Spree live. And I have to say, it is one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed. They just completely blew me away. It is the sound of pure joy. I seriously felt much better about my life when I left there. Anyway, YOU MUST SEE THEM! EVERYBODY MUST!
  11. I wasn't being unfriendly just because I didn't use a smilie. :P Why do you think I'm similar to mormons? And the term used to be used like I described in the first post. They were sort of the host of an event or show or something.

  13. ohhhhhhh. In that context "MC" means rapper. The term has kind of changed in meaning since the 1920's. And no, I am not a Mormon.

    ELVIS LIVES!
  15. Master of Ceremonies. Old term from the vaudeville age, I think. The MC (sometimes spelled "emcee") was sort of the "host" who would introduce all the different acts and whatnot. Unless it's a different MC you're talking about.

    Dear Lord. That's sickening.
  17. Congratulations Carla. I know that's something that I can't really relate to, but if it makes people happy there, then I'm happy too.
  18. Um... there's not a specific phrase for that, but "I didn't do it" usually works. :P

That's why you'll usually see a position number on guitar music so that you know where on the fretboard you should be. ie., if you see a 5 above the staff then you're in 5th position, which means that your index finger will be at the 5th fret. It's much simpler than it seems sometimes.

    Yeah, seriously.
  21. I'll have to bring a magnifying glass next time I get soup. :P
  22. God forbid that anybody would want to feel better about themselves. :P

I was surprised. I used to see Jim McGreevey on TV all the time because he's in about one out of every three commercials that air around here (NJ being right next to Philly, of course) talking about his civil reforms and the new DMV or something. So my friends and I went to frequently making fun of his Jersey accent to... well, shocked disbelief I guess.
