  1. Where did your long hair go? Where is the girl I used to know? How could you lose that happy glow? Oh Caroline, no
  2. I'd probably know their screen names. I'm so terrible with names.

Yeah, I've heard that story too, and that's more proof of how amazing he was. Even his nonsense was better than anything most people will ever do. :D
  4. Keep trying, you'll get something right eventually.

John Lennon can get away with writing nonsense lyrics like "I am the Walrus" or "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" because he also wrote lyrics that are amazingly touching, moving, or thought-provoking like "In My Life," "Mother," or "Julia." Cedric and Omar are still working on that trick. :P
  6. I managed to watch bits and pieces of one of the 622,843 repeats of it, and all I have to say is that Outkast is still the best really "mainstream" group around today. And Wayne Coyne is fucking awesome (if it wasn't weird enough that he was presenting the "best hip hop video" award, he had to come out over the audience in a giant clear plastic bubble. I love Wayne Coyne). And the Polyphonic Spree and Stevie Wonder are awesome too.
  7. Everything in that description sounds completely generic, so I don't have any clue either. :P
  8. Paul McCartney - "Teddy Boy"
  9. One of my friends made me listen to that song four times in about a half hour span the other day, so now I'm already sick of it, having first heard it last Thursday. I haven't heard any of the rest of the record, though.
  10. I can't STAND Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmas Time" because every year this local radio station runs TV ads using that song about thirty times every hour. ERRRRRGGGGHHH IT DRIVES ME MAD.    I don't know if that counts or not. :P
  11. Somebody doesn't understand the concept of being "banned."
  12. I have a DD5 (state of the art when I bought it three years ago  ) but I've always wanted a Line 6 delay modeler. Probably the most diverse delay unit I've ever encountered.
  13. I actually did 4, 9, and 14 when I lived in a dorm a while ago.
  14. Frankly, with the players they have, Canada has no excuse for not winning. It was nice to see my homeboy (sort of) Robert Esche making some great stops for the US last night, though.
  15. I saw Neil Hannon open up for Ben Folds a few years ago, and wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Uh... that's it. :P
  16.
  17. Well that's pretty bad. Doesn't necessarily have to be Cher though.
  18. The Who
  19. Also, if anybody actually believes that "hippie tree huggers" are a group of people that have any kind of influence and power in numbers, they need to take a look at the fact that the year isn't 1974. And Noam Chomsky doesn't really do much other than state the obvious in the most radical, controversial way he can. But he's a Philadelphian so I'll let him go. :P
  20. I have no idea how so many people missed the fact that I was actually making fun of the thousand threads with names with these ones.
  21. LET THE BATTLE BEGIN! ONE NIGHT ONLY! A COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE!!! SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!! BE THERE!!!!!!!!!
  22. I'll never be able to have a good time now.
  23. One more for posterity. :D Now I think I'll stop before I get banned.
  24. here have another!
  25. Just thought you could use another thread with your name in it. :P
