My university is actually home to quite a large number of Dali paintings. Largest private Dali collection in the world I think. :o Anyway, yes, he is/was amazing. :D
  2. Yeah, none of the ladies can resist the allure of the freaky feline. :charming:
  3. :worried2: :wreck: :wacky: *shrug* I dunno.
  4. I'd rather it be more like Parachutes than AROBTTH but I kind of see "Rush" as sort of a stepping stone to something better. An awkward in-between stage where they didn't quite know what they were going for. So I've got high hopes for it, whatever it is and whenever it comes out. :D
  5. No. But I did bang my head today.
  6. I sure hope not.
  7. HEY LET'S ALL POST EVEN MORE IN HERE!
  8. EVERYBODY KEEP POSTING IN HERE!
  9. Scarlett Johansson is most definitely a BABE. And she's younger than me too! :stunned: I've always been partial to Christa Miller who was on the Drew Carey Show (still might be for all I know, I haven't watched it in years). But I'm too lazy to find a good picture of her right now. :P
  10. Well, this has certainly piqued my curiosity.
  11. Seven, Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Sleepers... hmm, I guess he's been in more good movies than I thought. :stunned:
  12. Elliott Smith - "Son of Sam"
  13. Your assignment, Mr. Gas Man, should you choose to accept it: Unravel a sweater that you are wearing into a single long thread, and see how many times you can circle it around 10 Downing St. (if you do it there more people will pay attention) or... Stand on a street corner somewhere and sing "Auld Lang Syne" for an entire year. From New Year's Eve until the NEXT New Year's Eve. :idea2: Yeah, I'm no good at that either. :dozey:
  14. Also, Ian, you missed the " :stunned: " smilie in your post there. :P
  15. I'll admit I am very much into big boobs. But not when they're obviously fake and make a girl look like a cartoon character. :P Yeah, also: too much makeup is atrocious, particularly eyeliner. This is a lesson that many young women I know and see have yet to learn. (It always seems to be more widespread among college freshmen-aged girls.)
  16. The Hamptons! Well LA DEE DA! :P Every time I read one of those stories I get more and more upset over how stupid our celebrity-obsessed culture is. If people spent half the time and money they spend constantly trying to take pictures of Gwyneth Paltrow doing the most mundane everyday activities on something worthwhile...
  17. I think rolling a peanut 7 miles with your nose is much more impressive than pulling a bus 30 meters with your toe.
  18. This might be the first time I've ever started an "other music" thread that went on to a second page.
  19. I don't count post-Pinkerton stuff as truly "Weezer" anyway. Matt Sharp wasn't in the band for those albums, so I discount them on a technicality and still feel ok about liking Weezer. :P
  20. Don't feel bad, that was only because you bash everybody at every opportunity.
  21. Because the doctor started charging him for rent and utilities when he tried to do that before.
  22. It does have a little bit of that look... the coca-cola bear was much more adorable, though. :P
  23. I don't know what that is but I find it confusing and INFURIATING!
  24. Well... I deemed them "corporate" based more on their audience than anything else. I think you misunderstood me, but then again, I really didn't bother explaining myself either. :P But I would still argue that they very much DID sell out with Everyday. If you have a perfectly good album, and your record label makes you trash it, so you do so and write an album with some other guy not in the band purely because he'd written hits before, drastically changing your sound to something that's undoubtedly more "commercial" by any definition of the word, isn't that sort of the exact definition of "selling out?" Granted, they obviously weren't satisfied with it since they ended up retooling and releasing their canned album anyway and haven't gone back to that sound since then, but they still did it.
