  1. A great show. Not the best, but still great! MtM...amazing...and very brave. On the stream at least it seemed to get one of the best receptions of the night :sunny: I'm amazed Chris didn't pass out in those hot conditions...and he looked to be struggling at times, but did amazingly well...very early on you could see sweat pouring off his wrists as he played the piano... I think you could also see the extra pressure the boys (particularly Chris) feel when they play in London, and so (I guess) why they don't do it so much. The crowd were pretty 'mixed' I thought, must have been hard work to play to at times. Damn those guests in suits, and casual gig goers. The true fans were exceptional though  Still think Lost could be, er, lost, and I personally hope MM will be too. HLH, MtM, CB, UAtW...all mindblowing. That's a third of an album right there of absolutely astonishing material for me :o Hope everyone who got in had an amazing time - sure you did :P Goodnight all x
  2. For me it's a new window on top with a slideshow, and some music I'm thoroughly enjoying...I'd love to know what it is. I haven't refreshed anything.
  3. Wow, what a hassle signing up for iTunes and getting the stream working...their interface/instructions need a redesign. Debit card info too - like I'll be buying anything from them now! I was pretty disappointed with The Pierces after warming to their single...
  4. It's a great thing you're doing for the kids Nick. Let's just hope and pray this person won't do anything like this to anyone else in the future. Wishing you a good journey home :)
  5. Good to hear from you Nick and that all seems to be falling into place for you :)
  6. Thank you my friend. I told some mods (and I thought admins too) about it but not in an 'official' way. I just talked to them as friends, via PM or in person, as I often do. So, I don't blame them, necessarily. I accept that that was probably my mistake - I should have made it official. At the same time I think mods and admins should be proactive.
  7. So do I, still (2 and a half years later). It is like an unbelievably bad dream. I can't even begin to imagine what Nick is going through. I told some mods that I was in contact with at the time, and just about everyone I ever met after that I became good friends with from here (not the full story necessarily but a very strong warning that this person is not to be trusted and is in fact very dangerous). Unfortunately the threats went on for some time. It stopped me from posting a big warning thread on here about her because I was scared of reprisals. It seems because I didn't do it all at once but 'drip-fed' the warnings to different people they didn't get through as they should have done. It's all utterly horrendous and unless it had actually been done to me I could never believe that even the most evil person on this Earth was capable of such a thing...
  8. Thanks so much mate, that really means a lot. So glad you're able to go :)
  9. To anyone who feels low because they were tricked by this lady (and also to anyone who doubts Nick even a little) I can say that she is the most devious and convincing liar you could EVER imagine. Until getting in contact with Nick I still thought that (whatever problems she had caused me and my family) it was the girl in her early 20s I had talked to for months in late 2008 / early 2009. I had some serious suspicions, but it was only after talking to Nick that I realised the truth. I can promise that what he says is true. I won't comment on anything else. <edit> oops, I did...
  10. I'm made up to hear that some of the biggest fans from here will be able to go  (It's really cheered me up after what has been a miserable, miserable 24hrs). I have zero expectation (it's better that way because I can't be disappointed!! :P) but if anyone finds themselves with a spare ticket I live near London and would be so very happy to be able to go to this gig. I doubt that'll work out somehow, but congrats to everyone who can go, and have a wonderful time!! :sunny:
  11. Thank you very much for your help Ian, I will delete this message once it's all settled.
  12. I didn't know that until now. And, I still do not know what to believe about that account. Whoever is posting from xxkels is a pathological liar - if you do not know what that means please look it up. It's that serious. She is utterly convincing and utterly evil. I told many of the mods here that she was psychotic etc, as well as the admins. Question them, don't blame me. I have also been in touch with Nick for a while and tried to do what I could. Unfortunately she is such a very convincing liar it didn't help much.
  13. Thank you dear Nancy but please nobody worry about me...she is absolutely no bother to me now...this lady troubled me in 2008/early 2009 but after many months, eventually, I realised the death threats could not be carried out so I relaxed (plus we moved home so she no longer knew where we lived). For legal reasons I'll (try to!) make no further comment, I hope everyone will understand.
  14. :shocked2: Uh. Wow. I knew I'd been tricked but not by that much. Luckily I got out after *only* serious death threats to my family, multiple suicide threats, etc. I'll leave it there I think, and continue with the police and yourself in private Nick.
  15. I can't believe how badly run this has been - all competitions not even announcing they have picked the winners or who they are :( I'm very sorry to say (because you are genuine) that I think you won't get in - I'm not sure I'd even bother trying :( There seem to be three checks to get in. The first two are on the doors, and the third is at the computer where they scan your ticket for the name and then check it against your photo ID (to make sure you haven't photoshopped the name on the ticket). They can do this because most tickets are for 'guests' who have blank tickets - named tickets seem to be a huge minority (a few hundred out of a total crowd of over five thousand) so they can take the time to do this. The consensus seems to be that if you have named tickets and are not the person named on them you will NOT get in. I would probably try it myself, but with zero expectation. If you look similar to your friend can you borrow his photo ID? I completely agree with this policy to combat touts, but think it's ridiculous in honest cases (like your own).
  16. Thanks Nick, but there is no pain here except at the thought of what you're being put through. It's unbelievable. Who knows? It's certainly possible. She's a professional pathological liar. Please try harder Kat, I need some competition!! If it's possible her IP should be banned from even browsing the forum imho. /has made his point and so shuts up
  17. I simply cannot believe this hasn't happened yet. Automatic double posts = broken forum. Well get that WD40 out (and ban xxkels, EnglishSilk, and all the other family accounts while you're at it please!) Try Solitaire Slingo Kat if it ever comes back - I need some competition!
  18. Ian your forum is broken.
  19. I see the first post has been edited to include the full story. Nick - I am so, so sorry for you - you seem like such a nice chap. I was unfortunate enough to get involved with this psychotic pathological liar in 2008. It ended with very serious and utterly believable death threats against my family. I almost got the international police involved, and now wish I had done. It's all sickening :(
  20. For those considering trying to buy tickets, I found some comments from a few days ago saying there are 3 checks of photo ID against the name on tickets on the way in...
  21. Happy birthday mate :)
  22. Thanks buddy. I will try :) Good luck to everyone who wants to go!
  23. So are there no tickets whatsoever being sold for this (charity auctions, to industry bods, anything?) They're all being handed out? About a hundred-odd via iTunes and the Coldplay site - and the rest to insiders/guests? Obviously I'd really dearly love to go and am searching high and low for a ticket or two, but my immovable policy is to buy or sell only at face value...it's going to be hard to tempt anyone to 'sell' to me if there's nothing on the ticket  It all makes you sick really, doesn't it? One gig in London this summer. Virtually zero chance to go :(
  24. Yes it gets better and better :) The thing is, I think I'm starting to prefer Hurts Like Heaven, which I absolutely never expected. I always loved how it soars...but my word it seems to soar higher on every listen. Both are 'classic' Coldplay songs already in my book, as is UAtW, also. All three better be on the album!
