I take it back...none of our best play was shown on MotD, but then there wasn't much time left once all the highlights of the goals and near-chances (from both sides) were shown. Still there were one or two delightful touches from Jenas (again, I'm amazed, lol) and great work from Lennon. We should make Europa Cup this season if we keep this up :)

Us Lilywhites really needed a good victory today to keep us in the right areas...and we got a thumping scoreline, although it flattered us somewhat. Cudicini in goal looked iffy once or twice, let's hope Gomes comes back in full confidence, when he is a far superior shot-stopper against the best attackers, and when his stupid mistakes are eliminated. We are lucky not to be facing any more top teams for a while with Huddlestone at the centre, he's not top-class there, but good to see Daws come on, hopefully he'll be back full-time soon. Corluka looks lazy and sloppy at times, I would've liked to have seen Hutton come on for a run-out as he has more passion and needs developing. Otherwise some of our attacking play was imperious at times (see on MotD tonight). Keano's confidence is back, and with Crouch and Defoe both fit and in-form right now too, we have a strikeforce to scare any team. Jenas produced a lovely display, though no doubt his next game will be rubbish, such is the nature of the man. Top team selection and tactics again from Harry, I am finally warming to the man. The right man in the right job at the right time, it seems so far (touch wood). Now we need to keep the momentum going with a good result in our next game (absolutely achievable) and Arsenal will be worried about facing us once again :)

Interesting thread LLL, though bit tired to meaningfully contribute to your attempt to start decent debate, so... for now I'll just say that he review of the Manchester gig was written by a very young journalist (just starting out?) who was probably just looking to impress her editors by following the NME policy of slamming the band. The Brits are always a sham whoever wins imho.

I agree, too much moderation is horrendous. BUT there is NO moderation here at all. I don't even know why you guys are called 'moderators' because you don't do anything like that, you just tidy posts and do 'housekeeping'. Not your fault, it's just the way the board is designed, and I accept it and still love this place just like I wrote before. My last post on the subject, peace out and big hugs to all :)

I love this site. I completely disagree with the lack of moderation policy here. I think it's such a shame that people can be so rude or hurtful without having those posts deleted. But, this is Ian and Jen's board, and I absolutely respect that they set things as they think best, and I still love to come here daily. The people I have met from here in the last year and a half, and especially this last week, make this one of the best sites I have ever come across in my life. I have made incredible, life-long friends here. Thank you Ian and Jen :heart:
